If I doesn't fit the screen properly, Will it show white screen ?

I have one Samsung tv 32 grows to white screen. One coil (no label)
is reading zero ohms. But there are no capacitors tied to this coil. I think it leads directly into panel. Injecting voltage at coil and nothing heats up at 6amp. Do you think inside panel is short? Do u think can cut tracks to fix?
