ОтветитьYou need only .vdi file to export?
ОтветитьI'm planning to transfer my VM from my host to my external drive using this method. But I have files inside my VM. Are my files also going to be transferred together with my VM? If not, are the files going to be all eliminated, or what will happen to them?
ОтветитьI moved it to the external drive but now it says there’s no bootable medium found. Do you know what could’ve happened?
ОтветитьHow do I power off my vm without it returning to installation mode when I restart? I tried removing the iso bit usually get a "no bootable media error".
ОтветитьHi thanks I wanted to actually upgrade my windows from 8.1 to 10 and I wanted to keep all of my files and settings, therefore I used your tutorial, and thanks for that, but now the situation is that after the windows upgrade I want to put everything back in VM in a new window, with the same VM kali settings, kindly tell me how to do it. Kind Regards A

ОтветитьRecommend that you make a test VM before trying this.
ОтветитьWhats the point of a virtual machine?
ОтветитьGreat vid Ben, what is the impact on speed of the VM's?
ОтветитьMost detailed explanatory video I've seen so far.
You should keep creating videos, you have good talent.
Dude thank you. I asked a guy from IT at work and he said it was not possible, but you have given me hope. Definitely will subscribe and view your other content. Cheers!

ОтветитьHi, thanks for the video. Really helpful. Does it matter how the thumb drive is formatted? (ExFat, Mac OS formats etc)? I’m asking because I have a 4Tb external drive partitioned to 2 different formats.
ОтветитьI screwed up. I'm deleting everything including the ISO and starting all over.
ОтветитьI love this video so much, however, I have a question: my external hard drive contains over 1 TB of space, if I choose to store my VM there am I able to set the size to over 300 GiGs, etc?
Ответитьwhat about VMWARE? thank you !
Ответитьgreat vid thumbs up as first time when I needed something and found exact what I was searching for
ОтветитьReally helpful. Thanks!!
ОтветитьThanks, Need more tutorial about storages. Coz my C drive is running low and I want to use my SSD C drive to run my VM and use another drive for my downloads inside VM
ОтветитьHi, thanks for the very helpful video, I got a question though because I want to completely move my virtual machines to a new computer and work from there, following your instructions it looks like I can just save it to the files to a flash drive and then save it to the new computer's hard drive and use the virtual box 's new machine set up that you did and select the file location. my question is will this virtual machine created on the new computer using the existing .vdi file we saved from the flash drive, will this machine on the new computer be in the same state as it would've been on the old computer? what I mean is like will it keep the settings and any updates I made previously on the VM itself? hopefully what I'm saying makes sense and if you can help answer that, thankyou.
ОтветитьYour videos are so helpful!!
Any insight/ videos on how to increase the storage on the VM now that it's on an external HD with much more storage? Thanks again!
Also let's not forget the Export Appliance feature, which allows you to package up the VM and all its necessary files into one portable file. You'd primarily want to use this for backup purposes when maybe getting a new disk drive rather than moving a VM in use on your current storage configuration.
ОтветитьAfter I move the vm to my hard drive, can I remove the hard drive and plug it back in when I want to use the vm?
ОтветитьWould I be able to transfer it to an external flash drive ? Basically a USB stick ?
ОтветитьThank you.
Ответитьbruh your system is about to take off!
