Are there any processed food addiction abstinence groups that meet on the Internet or somewhere? I would like some food support group people around me.
ОтветитьFood Addiction has been the hardest. Food is everywhere. It’s legal. You can do it in your house without so much as a protest from your wife. You can do it at work. And worst of all, you can’t quit totally, otherwise you die.
ОтветитьThis sounds like OA?
ОтветитьI can’t stand the narration. Wish you would use your own voice
ОтветитьSo informative and interesting. Thank you for explaining this so we don’t feel bad for relapsing. It’s all about learning the process and being kind— while also striving for our goals
ОтветитьWow! We are quitting smoking cigarettes this week at ages 70 and 80. This "appeared" at the right time. Thank you Dr. Vera, once again for an excellent video.
ОтветитьMake BOREDOM your best friend!!!
ОтветитьGOD IS THE DEVIL!!!😇
Ответитьi'd love to see a video on the importance of incorporating NATURAL sugar like from fruits, fruits are literally saving my life and have been for almost a year now from not just my junk food addiction, but it's also helped me quit nicotine and caffeine for good :D and I don't drink alcohol anymore either and if i do I do not binge the alcohol, I actually dislike the taste more and more any occasional time i have it.
But the drug like substances in processed food is what I'm still battling with today, as I had a relapse after 12 days of eating high raw whole foods, I ate plant based tenders (11 of them, a serving is 4)
before I started my raw food cleansing, I would've rated all 16 tenders that come in a bag, but although i'm disappointed Im still grateful I stopped.
I was stuffing my face with other high fat raw foods more of the day, I also realized I was being lazy this whole time by just sitting on the couch watching movies.
To prevent furthering my tangent, I want to state that I need to take responsibility for my addiction and show myself that relapse is unacceptable and since I respect myself and have to be my own parent, I will be giving this processed food away to whoever wants it, or it will be trashed.
I used to struggled throwing food away and still do, i'd finish other peoples plates at my own expense of my health, not anymore.
I tell myself that the food will return to mother earth one way or another (feces or uneaten) and I would rather return it to earth so she saves my body from being harmed.
Again, fruit, dry fasting and water fasting have literally been saving me from my demons.
Tangent over
Edicts for everyone…NOOOOOO.
ОтветитьHey Dr. Tarman! Your videos get better and better. You help me with EVERY one. Do NOT underestimate your contributions to this community. I rely on your expertise and emotional support ..the hope factor and the how to factor.❤️😊
ОтветитьHey Vera great videos, wanted to know if you needed a video editor/thumbnail designer for the channel?
ОтветитьThis deeper dive into much of the information I've learned from you from videos, articles, and your course in the Adapt Your Life Academy (by Dr. Eric Westman of Duke Univ), have once again reinforced how seriously I need to take my food and sugar addiction. At the age of 70, it has been a struggle for me since i was 8 years old. Learning about real food addiction was the epiphany, and the key I needed for a recovery that i had not been able to achieve previously. I am eternally grateful to you for that.
(I did find the scenes with people bingeing very difficult to watch.)
Everybody that claims that sugar is bad is overweight 😢
Ответитьlet say I know all of this knowledge but still I am facing traumas memories ,stress and shame that lead to bing eating .
ОтветитьWhy does the brain downregulate?
ОтветитьThank you.I needed this to reinforce what I already knew. Each time I lose abstinence I must pick myself up and once again just DO it. I will neve😅r be perfect, just better.❤. I am 82 and still learning.
