That is absolutely a great idea. Never thought of ironing at first.
ОтветитьMy binding went wavey. I had a Minkey back 😢
ОтветитьY
The corners please
Thanks again 😊
ОтветитьI didn’t see how to put the end pieces together.
Ответитьhere again. thank you again! lol
ОтветитьBest instructional video ever!
ОтветитьI have always sewn all my 2 1/2 strips together and then ironed them in half. But now I use your method of just iron my pieces then sew them together like you suggested. So much easier than trying to fold and iron a loooong strip. Thank you.
ОтветитьI love watching Jenny's tutorials
ОтветитьI come back to this video every time I bind a quilt, and I'm always so proud of my work. Slay, Jenny, slay!
Ответитьnewb doing a mothers day quilt on my first ever large custom design size quilt topper its taken me a couple weeks of solid chunks of time to make. wish me luck...
ОтветитьHi Jenny How did you finish the meeting of the binding start and finish
ОтветитьDidn’t see how to join the ends. You said you liked the binding tool but no demo.
ОтветитьJust finished my first quilt today , this video is super helpful. Thank you
ОтветитьI’m never gonna be able to do that
ОтветитьHow wide is the binding
ОтветитьBeautiful
ОтветитьSon of a gun! I just finished getting my binding ready to sew on ... diagonal joined strips, ironed in half, then raw edges ironed to center fold and clipped onto the quilt ... only to find I did way too much work! I came here to remind myself how to join the two end of binding to finish the quilt.
Forgive me it's been 3 years since my last binding and that was hand seen. I wish I'd looked here first! Next quilt will have binding done THIS way next week.
Everything I've watched of you has been AMAZING. I've sewn my whole life (I'm old) but I have never quilted. With your tutorials, I've got the techniques and inspiration. I've started quilting now and I'm having a blast. It's great to know I have so much support from your videos. Well done!
ОтветитьI always quilt from the top and then hand stitch underneath or back of quilt. However, the fabric I’m using at the back is polyester and it’s so hard to hand sew through that fabric, hence why I’m doing it by machine this time. Have never been successful at it, but I’m going to try it once more.
ОтветитьI should have gone right to your tutorial. That’s exactly what I was looking for. I’m doing the exact same: sewing from the back to the front like you did. Had not thought of using a fancy top stitch. I might try it on a pce of fabric before doing it to the quilt. Thank you so much.
ОтветитьThe camera wasn’t on your sewing most of the time couldn’t see want you were doing
ОтветитьIt's press not iron.
ОтветитьGreat video! I'm of the "finished is better than perfect" school so machine finishing is my jam. I never thought to use a decorative stitch or add in rick rack - now my wheels are turning. 😊
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your amazing skills with us Miss Jenny and kean Camera Person 🤗 💗
ОтветитьWhat sewing machine is this..I don't recognize it...
ОтветитьWhat size of seam do you use for this binding?
ОтветитьGreat refresher! You make it ok so easy. Thanks!
ОтветитьI love the continual joining of the strips, saves some time. Thank you .
ОтветитьI love this video I did my first binding opposite I was wondering how in the world you make it so perfect now I see it's opposite you start on back 🤣 thank you!!
ОтветитьSuch a great video. I normally hand stitch the back which I quite enjoy in the winter but I was not sure that hand stitching would work well on the fleesy backing I am using. It is almost like the stuff used for making teddy bears and feels beautiful. Sadly it is for a young friend, not yet 50, recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer...lung, bones, liver. The prognosis is not good.
I am a big fan of yours and watch all your videos as they come out.
how do you not have a raw edge on the front. did you fold over?
Ответитьthank you for explaining the mitered corner so easily
ОтветитьI was hoping that you would show us how to use the binding tool.
ОтветитьAs a brand new quilter, this video has helped me SOOOO much. Thanks Joan
ОтветитьThis was very helpful
ОтветитьJuly 18 2022 I'm SO glad this video is still available! It is an enormous help for this newbie!
ОтветитьIf you would you bind it and the quilt if you’re going to put a border on it and if you put the first skinny border on and want to add a wider border to it I’m not sure how to add that other board to the one that I just put on can you help thanks Glenda
ОтветитьIs it better to use a walking foot to attach a binding?
ОтветитьWhat needle threader do you use.
ОтветитьWhat kind of batting do I use on back of my quilt?
ОтветитьHow did you join the open ends on the side.
ОтветитьThank you so much! I'm in crunch time for a wedding quilt deadline and this tutorial helped me finish in time
Thank you so much, Jenny!! ❤️
Thank you!! Been following it exactly as I finish my first quilt. But I'm not sure what to do when I reach the end of the binding?? How to attach it to the beginning and finish it all?
ОтветитьAwesomeness ❤️
ОтветитьThe cameraman did not do you justice in showing us the corners. I’m bummed. It kept going out of focus.
ОтветитьThank you I love watching your videos and hopefully one of this days I get to make one of your beautiful quilts.
ОтветитьGreat tutorial. The camera work is great and it is really helpful! Thank you.
ОтветитьJenny, thank you! I am on my 3rd quilt and have struggled with sewing the binding on. I am definitely going to try this! Thank you 😁
ОтветитьI love your style...easy to understand and to follow. Thanks.
