I consider this film along with Shark Tale and Freddy Got Fingered to be the Holy Early 2000s Trinity.
ОтветитьThe Cat in the Hat,
Was really bad.
It disrespected the book,
This makes Dr. Suess sad.
During certain times of the month, I need to hate. But I don't like to hate alone. And I don't want to ruin anyone's day. So, during these special times, I love to get cozy, grab a snack, and watch videos of people, talking shit about all the things that piss me off. And if their criticisms are non-biased, and well thought out, my hatred feels more legitimate and justified. Like it or not, mass hatred brings people closer to each other. It helps us work together, toward a common goal. Which, in this particular case, would be a goal of keeping any more Dr. Seuss adaptations, from taking up valuable real estate, in movie theaters. Next, let's focus our hatred on Disney remakes and "Girl Boss" protagonists. Let's hate together. I love you guys❤
ОтветитьI remember I suffered through this movie as a little kid, I had no idea what a bad movie was and loved Dr Seuss and STILL hated this "movie"
Every time I saw critic suffering through this (particularly the part where it broke him) I just wanted to give him a hug and tell him it will all be over soon and thanks to Dr Seuss’s wife this kind of abomination will not happen again
Painfully obvious references - The Lego Movies.
Totally unneeded adult jokes - The Lego Movies.
Appealing desperately to the lowest common denominator the same way Michael Bay appeals to p💀nises and Stephanie Meyer appeals to v💀ginas - THE. LEGO. MOVIES.
I love how the Thumbnail is a effectively a Mortal Kombat fatality
ОтветитьFunny thing is, it probably would've made more sense for Jim Carrey to be the Cat in the Hat. Not that Mike Meyers wasn't good as the Cat but Jim would've made it just that much better.
ОтветитьThe live action grinch is underrated
ОтветитьI am so very, very glad that the Cat In The Hat ride at Universal Orlando... which I've ridden... is patterned after the book, and not that crappy movie.
Ответить“Well the chart says.”
ОтветитьYou would think this video was posted in 2009
ОтветитьI agree that Mike Myers wasn't right for the role, but I don't hate him, I find him funny and entertaining just like when he was in Austin Powers and Shrek. If I worked on The Cat in the Hat, it should look more Dr. Seuss like and not look like an R Rated movie., I could also cast Kenneth Branagh, Jude Law, or maybe Patrick Stewart as the cat and have the cat itself animated instead of having a costume.
ОтветитьI know you're an edgy cringe lord lolcow and any criticism of you is punching down, but man you're hard to stomach.
