ОтветитьTips to learn genders !
In AL LANGUAGES (that have genders) they are a rule to determine it for example in French most noun ending with e are féminin
Ok. The reason noun gender exists is because in proto indo european, nouns are classified into either animate and inanimate, and the animate split into masculine and feminine later on, meanwhile inanimate became neutral. French merged their neutral into masculine, and eventually it got more muddled until nowadays it have nothing to do with the actual gender anymore.
ОтветитьDid I witness someone saying "english is really hard" to a french girl? Can't wait to see her tell that to a german too. :)
ОтветитьGerman has 3 genders....
ОтветитьEnglish table Russian стол Spanish mesa French la table 😂😂😂
ОтветитьI'm learning French and I've learned a tip that most of nouns end with "e" in French are females:)
ОтветитьIt's simple to determine the french genders,
actually there're own feminine terminations (-se -ce -che -tion -sion -zion -xion -aison -gne -ve -ne -me -ine -ie -te -eur( -eur exept when it's an adjectif, it would be a masculine termination)) every two letters : -rre -nne -lle -mme ... are also feminine terminations
In Portuguese we also have nouns with genders, but the rules are pretty simple. If the vowel is the letter "A" it's female, if it's any of the other four vowels than it's male.
There are a few exceptions like how the name of places are masculine even if they end with a "A". Or some words that finish with "ão", but the rule I mentioned above works in over 90% of the cases, and the other rules are easy to remember.
Give him the credit!!!
Ответитьtheir reactions majorly annoyed me.
Ответить😂😂😂😂😂 this is so funny
ОтветитьI love Loic!! 😂😂
ОтветитьI remember how we had to keep repeating nouns with their article in the French classes at school... un/une, le/la etc... It was fun though but I wish I would have had the opportunity to use the French more after I graduated. One question to Morgane, or any French person I guess... Who decides the gender of a new word in French?
In Sweden there is the Royal Swedish Academy who are responsible for releasing a new version of their dictionary every year ( in a way similar to the Oxford Dictionary for English I guess ) where they add new common words and also remove old dated and/or unused words... and that's like the norm for the Swedish language... but they don't have to determine the gender so it's easier for them. 🤣
( They also have the responsibility of deciding the literature Nobel Prize winner each year )
The guy in the video is Canadian.
ОтветитьI'm Asian and we have gender for all objects and things too.
Sometimes gender changes for the same object uncook/cooked : rice (raw) - Male gender, rice(cooked) - Female gender. water: liquid form - female, solid form(ice) - male, gas form(vapour) female gender.
The most accurate is Lock - feminine gender and key - masculine gender
On contrary... all fruits are MALE gender except Banana is FEMALE. Lol
German has grammatical gender too. The confusing thing for Germans learning French is that the Genders aren’t the same the those languages e.g. table is male in German 😂
ОтветитьWatch the song “welcome to the french language”
ОтветитьThe object of gender is a form of the old Germanic languages, and anyone who has paid attention to history and knows about the "Migration of Nations" also knows that the "Franks" settled in today's France and another Germanic tribe the "Vandals" continued to after gibraltar and north africa, no wonder that "objects have a gender in europe
one difference between french and german: the table in german is male and not female like in french
Why are these Videos always so extremely short???
ОтветитьYoo I’m considering redownloading tik tok JUST FOR THIS GUY. 😂😂

Ответитьc'est trop drôle. ces deux femmes ont des manières très "coréennes" ou "asiatiques". Comme se couvrir la bouche quand elles rient, par exemple. Habitent-elles en Corée ? Les sous-titres sont en "hangul" donc je suis curieux.
ОтветитьSo for those who don't know, Loïc is French born in Mexico who grew up in the US and now lives in France. He's absolutely spot on as i speak and lived in both countries lol. Man is comedic genius.

ОтветитьEnglish: "Gender for words? Pahaha how ridiculous! Only for pronouns ...and ships."
Ответитьso cool !! 👍👍🤣🤣
ОтветитьYour overreacting is embarrassing...
ОтветитьI think to determine the gender of something: Female: ends with a or sometimes e*, *Male: ends with i or o(sometimes e)
ОтветитьWater? Well yes but actually no. 😆 🤣

ОтветитьI had a scammer supposedly hire me to translate a document into French. It was just a front for an advance fee scam, but I did translate eight pages of the 44 I got sent before the guy got obsessed with depositing the fake check for four times the amount I billed him I was sent. The hardest part was the gender. I last studied French in the late 1990s and last read a French book in 2016, and I was having to look up the gender of nearly every word. It was slowing me down quite a bit.
In college, I had this Syrian algebra professor named Maan Omran who said when he first came to the U.S., he said "beautiful bitches" when he meant "beautiful beaches."
😄le genre n'est pas hasardeux en français, si on prend exemple sur le ou la covid 19: 1-on va d'abord chercher un match entre l'article masculin ou féminin et le nom(dans ce cas les deux vont bien), 2-on va voir l'utilisation la plus courante, 3-on se tourne vers le académiciens pour trancher- et la suite est une question d'habitude
