STEAM GUARD HACKED IT'S NOT SECURE! Bypass Exploit WARNING!

Yea steam is a joke, same thing happened to me and I lost 3k worth of items. I hope this corporation gets a lawsuit. Steam things that (2FA) is god and hackers can’t get thru it.

I thought Steam was the ultimate in security until some fucking Chinese hacker accessed his Steam account and gave away prizes for his shitty screenshots.

This is insane and just happened to me also: i never bought or sold any item on the community market myself but i got hacket 2 times now and the hackers just took all my money in my steam wallet (it was not that much but still annoying) and they just bought random stuff from another account. So my question is why tf we dont have an option or so to just disable market transactions or set up another 2FA just for market transactions or such a thing. Cuz what i learned is, when they get intop your account even with guard activated and you have money in your walled or items, they can just take that without any further authorisation.... Valve should really improve the security man

5 to 6 months ago someone hack my account and they take it 2000$ worth of inventory and they say your system is hacked we can’t do in it then I delete steam from my pc

this exact thing happened to me a few months ago. only found out today by noticing a $30 game i bought had been refunded without my knowledge. found out the hacker had sent the money to himself. i had 2fa on. absolutely shocking

out 2.5k because of this kind of scam. i changed all my pw and removed authenticator the instant i knew the llink i clicked was fake, but some how they still got my shit. im just at a loss for words. steam doesnt even try and help, they literally just tell you tough shit and basically our system sucks.

i just dont understand how someone can bypass my phone from another country. whenever i try to do anything on my steam like trades im notified to open steam on my mobile and authorize.

I think "skins" being valued at the levels they are is a bigger problem. How much of a idiot does someone have to be to spend more than a few cents on any cosmetic item that even a novice user could duplicate?

I played CS back before it was a STEAM game, and you could get skins for free, all day long....character skins, weapon skins, custom sounds, etc.

Thanks for the inside about it, got hacked by a russian just 3 days ago without getting notified by steam guard, the hacker got on to my account when playing Penguin Heist multi, seems that steam neither fixed exploits via multiplayer, just as a heads up.

Happend to me today steam is a shit. All my items got stolen.

Steam guard is shit , got hacked with 2fa and scammer bought a shitty 0.04$ item with my account for 40$ without allow me and no warning nothing..

Hi it also happened to me, my account got hacked and i haven't received any notification on either email adress or in app. Even tho the hackers logged in from CHINA, its very much an issue with app and i have opened multiple tickets with steam support and they arent really helping or explaining on the matter.

Same happen to me on 8 september. Steam doesn't give a shit, with all proof given by the rightful owner.
This is insane. It's just a gaming platform, not a bank account ffs.
I think there's someone who either does pentest for fun, someone you pissed while you play better, or simply someone who worked there and wants revenge.

weird. the same thing happened to me but steam did something about it. they reset the password and email back to mine and they tried to buy $50 steam credit and Raiders of the Lost Ark. i got refunded and got everything back.

This just happened to me,i have 2 factor,email and phone number added to my account,the bot sold some cheap items but i didnt get any notifications as to who logged in and how.

This happened to me months ago, I was checking my marketplace, I noticed one of my expensive items is being sold for 1€ each, I immediately check if who was it then I was shocked that it's so fast that I couldn't even keep up that I just traded most of my items but the most of my items got sold for freaking pound each. Rip 5years steam inventory 1200€ worth of items

so this happened to me i fixed everything on my desktop steam app but my mobile app is still messed up with weird number as my steam name and i can't enable mobile steam guard or view my Steam profile or friends on the phone app

I WAS WONDERING ABOUT THIS!!!! This makes me so mad... I have no idea where I could have been hacked so it made me really paranoid. my steam app suddenly changed to Chinese even after I changed my password and Steam guard.... Steam guard didn't notify me of ANY breaches after being accessed from "Italy" and the "Netherlands" (VPN locations... i know) this is so incredibly frustrating. My old password didn't even show as breached so I have no clue how someone got in and sold all my items.......

Yes, I've got hacked, and my steam items were sold without me being notified on my Steam app. Very strange, my all items just got sold on Steam market. I notified it on Steam Support and awaiting their response.

We need more context was he phised? API scammed? They have to have some sort of user data to even get remotely close to doing such thing. Otherwise it makes no sense why the richest CSGO players aren't hacked if it were that simple.
