How to Reset Forgotten Windows Password Without Losing Data

When using Method 1, I get an error message saying "The system cannot find the path specified." when I type in the command "cd windows". (I've made sure I set to C drive)
Though I definitely have the windows and system 32 folders in my C drive. Have you guys encountered this before?

Y'all forgot to warn people that they should be prepared to enter their BitLocker recovery key with newer PCs. I had to go retrieve the key from my Microsoft account before the computer allowed me to access the drive via CMD. I hate how Microsoft forces users to have an account before using their OS nowadays, but I'm grateful to know where my key is when situations like this arise.

Nevertheless, I managed to get back into my PC and am happily writing this comment on it right now!

Does method 2 work on Windows 10 or any earlier version of Windows?
