The designs are cute but I lowkey miss the sharp artstyle 😭‼️

I've only seen this 'series' for like a hot minute but wow, you can really feel how the expressiveness and personality of the characters just seep out when showing the redesign.
like even the roller skates look like they're either socks or part of their anatomy

I honestly really like the designs they look a lot like MLP or power puff girls overall it's very nice!

(note that when i say show, it regards to if it were to be one, i am aware it is not one.) gotta say as someone who knows nothing about this show (other than Lauren Faust made it) i would not watch this show with these redesigns. it just reminds me of the stale cartoons I see more often nowadays, "modern" sure & MAYBE "relevent in current times" as one commenter put it if it were pitched but, is that really a good thing? is next to no personailty the modern norm we want to accept?

I like some of these but they did some of them so dirty they completely ruined how the characters looked, don’t get me wrong I like the diversity but I feel like they could sharpen it a-bit instead of making it so round. I don’t mind though I’m just happy there MIGHT be a new show coming out (sorry if I don’t make sense)

No offense intended but I feel nowadays cartoon creators feel some sort of obligation towards PC
let snowflakes get offended, nothing wrong with keeping them sharp and noodley like ..

The only thing I don't like is Mars's new OUTFIT. It's giving secretary vibes, and I just really liked her kind of, 70s 2000s esc funky clothes. Her fashion choice is too similar to Uranus.

I miss the gradient in moon's hair and her flowy dress, idk why but whenever I think of moon i think graceful and worry prone. Kinda like an Oprah singer esk. I think her new design makes her look younger and more worried

I don't like how they did Pluto, Jupiter, Saturn, and mars the rest are okay...

The only one I dislike is Mars tbh, not nearly as quirky as it used to be…
And Venus was also a downgrade

I really loved the redesigns.

Kinda sad that the design is smoother now instead of sharp like before, but I'm glad it might be coming back!

I love most of the redesigns, but my only sort of complaint is that all of the characters look so in completely different that it kind of looks like they’re all from different shows. Like some of them have very voluptuous and round figures, while others are very sharp and slim, and I have nothing but respect for people who have a lot inclusivity in their work, but something about the art styles makes it look like the characters are not really coming together.

The best thing I can compare it to is like how they are fan animations, where a bunch of different artists get together and create an animation all in their own little art styles but it’ll be like one fluid concept, like a character going to the store and avoiding obstacles But it’s like one individual drew the character, dodging a car, and another one through them hopping over a fence and another one in pad them pause to catch their breath, things like that
