wet sand tamping should do, the stump itself is also a bit wet so that might be making it more difficult to take out

I was browsing pyrodata and saw a mixture of ammonium picrate and potassium nitrate listed as a burst charge in a 43/57 ratio. It would be interesting to see how it performs with ignition by fuse instead of a proper detonator.

Really powerful, btw, can you try mixtures with ammonium azide? It is powerful energetic on it's own, but a really great fuel too, so in mixture with oxidizers like NH4NO4, KClO4, NH4ClO4, KIO4 and NH4IO4 it should be amazingly powerful. Also try mixes with acetylenides, like copper acetylenide + strong oxidizer, or silver acetylenide + strong oxidizer. Try more mixtures with dinitrobenzoates, also, try nitrate ethane to things like tetranitroethane, or better hexanitroethane, they are really powerful oxidizers, and in mixtures with polyaromatic explosives like TNT or Tetryl they give VoD more than 9000 m/s!
