The best rock and blues singer from the U.K...coming form the 60s ..Eric has been blessed with a raw and low voice and when I first heard the House of the rising Sun a song a young man from Newcastle made his own. I was hooked on it ..Van Morrison was a close ... second.

For me it's right to sing the Original version and no additional lyric(or melody) when he sing the famous " The House Of The Rising Sun"... Well ' We can do nothing about that '. He did what he wanted !

Eric Burdon slips through the cracks for many, but he's got something unique...nobody sounds like him...well, that's kind of a lame thing to say, because no one sounds exactly like someone else without intentionally trying to...let me try again, what makes Elvis, John Lennon, Bill Withers, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, James Paul McCartney, or even duets like the Everly Brothers, the brothers in the Kinks Ray and Dave Davies, have that "thing" that people are like "wow, that was awesome"? ...in this, Eric shows he has vocal range, I think even better than the maybe Jim Morrison from the Doors....Eric's direction kind of this raw thing when maybe your just tired of hearing everything else and you want to hear something different in regard to vocals, you can listen to Eric...House of the Rising shows off his vocal range, but it's not my favorite Eric Burdon song...for some reason San Francisco Nights is...thanks for the video.
