My son dropped my switch and the joycon stopped connecting to the switch when attached. Found out the black bar wasn’t working anymore. You’re vid helped me disassemble the controller and it turns out the strip was unplugged (didn’t know it was a plug at all lol). Just plugged it back in and now it works. Thanks for the vid

We very rarely use those buttons unless we're playing more than Players on Mario Kart.

Need a recommendation. Ives performed the repair according to your video and it now works! The thing is, the ZR won’t work….what did I do? And what can I do to fix it?

I have some questions if you wouldn't mind answering them. My right joycon it's turning on or charging, I changed the battery and the sl rl strip but still getting nothing. Am I just having to get a new one or am I missing something? I can't find anything online besides having to change the sl rl strip but that didn't help.

In all the repair videos I've watched, even on iFixit's website, no one showed exactly where the ZIF connector was on the cable that connects the charging rail to the rest of the handheld. YOU DID, so thanks! Unfortunately, I wrecked my charging rail but have another one ready to go in tonight when I get home from work.

Not great advice on the battery. Pulled it up and both wires slipped out and now I have to buy a new battery.

On my left joycon, there were 2 screws hidden underneath the battery

Great tutorial! In my case, I found it easier using a tri-wing screw size 1.5 rather than 0.6. But anyways, now my joy con is working just perfect! Thank you!

Hi, I tried to repair the a right joy con but now I can't seem to pair the joycon back to my switch, any advice on the fix?

The reason I am trying this is because when my moms boyfriend gave me a switch the red joycon had no slide raid on it to attach to the switch.

I had the same problem, but i fixed the flat cable, it is really hard and have to be precise, if you dont want to wait or pay for a replacement should give it a try, but i recommend buy the replacement, too annoying to repair

i forgot to buy pinset, very hard, took me 2 hours..
almost finish, just need to reattach cable that can charge..

maybe tomorrow after i buy pinset

Just fixed my remotes! thanks!! Just to keep in mind: the right remote does not have the NTC antenna and the screws are underneath the battery.
