Hornblower!
ОтветитьI find it comical that the Quakers were associated with LGBTQ and progressivism, when they were so conservative. Anti-Slavery, and the valuing of women were always conservative values... Nothing like rewriting history!
ОтветитьVery well done.
ОтветитьFascinating! So well done. Thank you.
ОтветитьI'm a captain. Do canoes count
ОтветитьThat must have been exiting time, when world was still unexplored. Wow! Simply amazing to think about it, Thank you Captain Cook! 🫡
Ответитьmental mutants and white guilt cannot, will not affect history and virtue
ОтветитьI learned a lot from this and please accept my sincere appreciation.
ОтветитьWhy do British pronounce "ieu" ...ff in lieutenant? Who makes that stuff up? Why do others follow?
ОтветитьFrank worsley
ОтветитьI hear Captain Cook made a good Lasagna.
ОтветитьA lot of people will never forget or forgive
ОтветитьDid the people whose home lands Cook visited not know where they were before Cook arrived to discover them?
ОтветитьI only made it 4 minutes. The narrator is completely blinded by his racism. What do you mean "most of which (the world) was unknown at the time"... except for the people who discovered it thousands of years prior and were living there. The guy was an exceptional navigator and cartographer and those areas were unknown to him but giving him credit for discovering places where people were already living takes away from his actual accomplishments.
Ответитьnot bad considering he used French and Portuguese maps, and maybe a little Dutch or Chinese with a little smattering of his own experience
ОтветитьCaptain Cook said Australian Aborigines were the most splendid humans he ever came across!
ОтветитьI live on a small island named Guemss, in the San Juan Archipelago, my homeowners assosciation shares a small cove where I can keep a skiff, its named " Cooks Cove ". I wonder if there are Cooks Coves all over the World.
ОтветитьI loved this documentary so much! I'm so tired of this trope that the natives were innocent sweethearts only to fall to the evil white man, and I'm not even white. We're all human and prone to the same egregious acts of evil and extraordinary acts of kindness
ОтветитьThe worlds greatest navigator?
1519 Magallanes and Elcano circumnavigate the world
Urdaneta in 1564 figures out the way to get back from Philippines establishing the route for the great Spaniard Manila Galeon?
300 hundred years later Cook discovers the Pacific?
what is the agenda when you state "..redress the 'crimes' of it past?"
ОтветитьI throughly enjoyed this history lesson on James Cooke. What fascinating adventures he and his men participated in
ОтветитьCook is venerated by the Maori because he brought the pig to New Zealand.
ОтветитьCaptain Cook 👍 👍👍
Ответитьthank god its such ashame people
an the kids of new Zealand dont know this anymore he was great
man jacinda Ardern should be known as the great mutt of new Zealand history
Ridiculous. People of 21st century judging people of past centuries.
ОтветитьA very interesting character. Makes me want to sail the ocean's! 🇬🇧
ОтветитьGreat doco, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
One thing though New Zealand was never used as a penal colony only Australia was used for that.
These antisocial people causing damage and using disgusting terms to describe these early explorers really get me P.ss.d Off.
They think they would have been so better off without being colonized yet they would be far worse of off if not extinct.
"All they seemed to wish is for us to be gone"...nothing has changed.
ОтветитьOutstanding video.
ОтветитьAbsolutely fantastic video. Bravo
ОтветитьFantastic documentary, thank you😊
ОтветитьDuty or work done is Karma in Hinduism.
ОтветитьCaptain Cook got what was coming to him , cooked in a Hawaiian pot on the Hawaiian Island of Maui! LMAO
ОтветитьI don’t like captain cook he killed Australians aborigines
ОтветитьCalling them crimes of the past when it wasn't criminal is disingenuous. It's like saying the Brits have broken Sharia law
ОтветитьI am shocked that today was the day i discovered this channel. How is that possible?
ОтветитьIn New Caledonia, when first whites arrived, they were approx. 100,000 natives, 230 dialects, and war between tribes, rapts, rapes, were common life.
Ответить...and they offered syphilis to Tahitians...
ОтветитьGYAAaAaaAAAAAAT
ОтветитьW video would watch again
ОтветитьEarl of Morton, James Douglas , had respectful views. Too bad England didn't subscribe to his point views. Captain Cook brought on his own death by trying to kidnap the Hawaiian Chief
ОтветитьNobody cares about what these crybaby cringe leftists think about Captain Cook everybody knows he was a great man except the dumbest among us
ОтветитьWell done.
ОтветитьThe paint throwers need to see this documentary.
ОтветитьThank you. I had never known any of this.
ОтветитьGreat content excellent documentary
