I have played 100's of hours in Black Flag and never have seen this happen and it kinda makes me sad, I wish I could have seen this happen, I'm beginning to think it was patched out when the game was still new :(

AC Blackflag had the best water in any AC game. I'm not talking about the graphics or physics quality.I'm talking about simply how it looks to the eyes. Just absolutely serene.

You are lucky. The only glitches I have ever experienced in this game were always Edward going through the deck of the ship he was boarding having him swim around in the hull. I have to wait the conclusion of the boarding (either crew wins) or find some way to respawn, losing all recent progress.
