Using fabric textures in Blender (Couch Part 5)

Thank you for your time, sir! Your donut tutorial was suuuperb, and I've been following-along with this sofa one, but ... this materials thing stumps me. The material converter seems to be replaced by the over Poliigon add-on, and ... well, I'm at a complete loss how to get it working.
I know: this is an old tutorial.
Still, till now: 10/10.

By the way, now there is a new poliigon addon that is what the link brings you to, just click on the legacy material converter and it will be the same as his. this had me confused for ages

what annoys me with most of your videos is that you almost never start from zero basically you always have something that you have already done and that you do not show I have already seen a lot of your videos and I have always the impression that you always make the effort to hide information.

I did added the poli material addon.but I can't find a way to copy the unzipped files to materials..why's that

The tutorial is so messy and all over the place, there were no guidance as to finding the Polygon Material tab, i had to waste my time searching, my advice to save everybody's time is that u provide a STEP BY STEP guide.

This free version of texture is not showing in Poliigon after placed it on library.

I cannot use the poliigon addon. When I tried the login with my my e-mail, it doesn't let me. So I used login with browser and I loged in. But I still can't see any model or something like that in Blender. I didn't understand what it the problem.

Is the add on optimised for MacBooks? Because when I click download it downloads the folder but there isn’t a zip file to select like it shows on the website tutorial. Anybody else having this problem on Mac?

Someone probably already figured it out, but I managed to achieve a similar look with those creases, using a noise texture instead of the one you provided.

If you can't use the Fabric's original high rez, just scale the fabric down 1.5 or lower, it will look sharper and a bit more high rez.

Watching this series has really helped me see why homemade furniture in indie games often look so out of scale, shiny, seamless, and untextured 😂 oh man who knew making a sofa was so much time-consuming and complicated work 😅 very interesting!

i started learning blender 2 years ago when i was 14 and i concider andrew as my teacher i watched his videos and learned so much from him and now i just rewatch them for fun and to see if i missed something also poliigon is great :D

the plug in doesnt work, or my blender cant find it, either way i cant use it, how can i pull up the textures without it?

Hi. Searching for tutorial how and what is needed to shoot large pieces of fabric 1 by 1 meter in home but with high quality. How to setup light.... anyone help :) ?

You need a macro lens to photograph fabric, also adjust the default sharpness in your cameras picture style settings.

Most hardest part is nodes. I never understand this. Is there any other way?
