Idk if you ever figured it out, but it could've been your motherboard. Although I've had gpus die, I've never seen one that would effect the system like that, mine just usually didn't send a signal to the monitors itself and I also had a titan, but it was the titan black.

On the bright side the OG titan is a prtty weak card buy todays standards, you can replace its with a $400 5700xt and it would be a decent upgrade.

honestly you really dont need to spend 400 bucks on a psu, also the new comp market has changed alot since AMD are on a core rampage... for like 2k you can get a 12 core cpu with a 2080ti whats way better and will shock you on performance if you need a hand with anything gimmie a holla

COPPA is a peice of shit

Two main things could have happened to the Titan.

1. Being a reference card it finally over heated and killed the GPU

2. Your Vram died which is a regular issue with older Titan cards.

Being a reference model only release this is just what happens to these cards.

Heat is a killer in these old cards sadly. Jay's two cents had two die on him under the same suspicious circumstances, (not that I'm a fan of him but I did watch that video about the Maxwell Titan cards on his channel way back when.)

As the other guy in the comments section said; send it NOT to Linus but Gamers Nexus who will be able to actually diagnose it and might be able to get it fixed for you.

Make sure you get a afternarket GPU always always always! First video I have seen from you, but I can tell you have a passion for this kind of stuff. Keep up the good work! I also recommend you wait for the AMD RX 5900/5950 XT to come out first, but if you can't wait, go with a aftermarket 2080 Ti.

i felt that, my pc broke a week ago. it might be trash but it has value to me

one time my pc wouldn't always successfully boot even after a restart so i'd leave my pc on for as long as i could to avoid the risk of boot failure. that then progressively gotten worse to the point where it just wouldn't turn on. turns out one of the resistors on the motherboard had damaged. it lasted for 7 years before that. so i know the feeling when something that was once your daily go-to machine suddenly vanishes.

Hey man, a long time fan of both you and gunns4hire, I know how you feel you spent so much to build that computer and how it has effected you, now I may have never built a computer but I did have an Xbox 360 that lasted me a good while before I had to get rid of it and it really does suck having something you built, got from someone special, or got yourself it sucks, anyways I went a bit on a rant but I hope you are able to fix your computer.

And there isn't much of a nightmare to be had! These days you can build a computer that's actually BETTER than yours, for only $1000-$2000. I know you're pretty big time now, and you don't know me, but I am extremely good with computers, and would gladly help you out with yours, even though it seems the only thing you need to do is get a new GPU. And it will be a little weird when you first install it, the reason is because it's just installing new drivers, so no worries. Also that is in fact still an amazing power supply, maybe a little more wattage than you need but it's good XD

But if you would ever be interested in building a new PC, I would be more than happy to help you pick the parts, for example you could get a $200 CPU, like the Ryzen 3600, and it would be better than your once top of the line CPU.

The original Titan was a 700 series card, not 900. 900 series had the Titan X, not the regular Titan.
