Honestly, the east are infinitely better than the west at creating tense atmosphere which is essential in horror media. Asian horror's build up could suffocate you wherea Western horror only makes you 'be on a lookout' for the next jumpscare. Not to mentioned this game actually have gameplay mechanics other than 'collect X pages to win'.
