Having a micropremie is both the hardest and most beautiful experience ever.
My son was born at 23 weeks 3 days. And only ONE of major challenges my son faced while in the NICU was he became septic at 4 weeks old and was told he had less than 24 hours and to say our goodbyes. i don't know the week of pregnancy i was born in but i do know that i was born 6 months premature weighing at 15oz even. at the time i was the smallest baby born at the hospital but was only really given a 24 to 48 hour expectancy of survival before i wouldn't make it -- i'm not sure how far technology and procedures have grown in NICU's with premies since i was born in 2002, but i'll forever be thankful for my mom demanding to choose heroics over comfort care when i was born + how doctors will try to do whatever possible to help premies be okay!! it's amazing!!

I was born at 33 weeks old and I had an intraventricular hemorrhage a couple weeks before I was born. And hydrocephalus. I have cerebral palsy because of it. That kid is a real fighter. She will continue to be a fighter.

Whenever i see a little nicu baby, i think of Gannon Stauch. But, on another note, this is such a blessing and I'm so happy she's survived. She was so adorable! Thankfully they have a great doctor with wonderful nurses and parents ❤

I weighed 1lbs and 12 ounces as a baby. I was born premature. She will get big and healthy. We are God's miracle babies!!❤❤❤❤❤

And to think I thought my mom was tiny at 2 lb. To be fair she was born in 1930. So for her to survive until she was 75 was a miracle..

My niece was born T 23 weeks and 507grams in Vancouver Canada! She is thriving at 3 years old now, just some vision issues, too much oxygen. Tiny and mighty!💞🇨🇦

I was born at 28w myself. 2 lbs 13oz. and that was 26 yrs ago.... technology and medicine have improved so much. How did I even live!?

My son was 31 weeks and died in my arms. This is amazing ❤️. I should say though that my daughter born 2 years after my son...was born early too. Nicu for a month. Now is in nursing school. She wants to work in nicu.

This made me cry. I am a high-risk pregnancy, and it has been a roller coaster. I have made it to 29 weeks and tomorrow 30 weeks. Rejoicing made it this far. Prescious baby ❤

Let’s not forget this lovely young woman had already gone through a lot of trauma…Stage 3 ovarian cancer, fertility treatments, pre eclampsia and then this! What a strong couple they are and their little Jo is a beautiful, well deserved miracle.

I had mine at 25 weeks emergency C-section 1lb dropped to 10 0z he was in nicu for 3 months until 4lbs on oxgen machine and pulse ox machine for over a year he is now 17 1/2 taller than me and graduating this year also works part mine. He’s my miracle and at the time I was told he was the smallest premie they have delivered and fortunate to have the equipment to help them survive today

My nephew was born at 23w2d 13 oz. He’lol be a year in September and he’s 15 1/2 lbs and just a busy body. He wants to do so much but his lil body won’t let him but he’s getting there. My son was born at 28w2d and honestly my nephew has done more than he did. All babies are different and grow as they grow

I had one born 27 weeks, 3 lbs and she is 5.9 and v weighs 170. She is thriving and healthy.
