Horizon Zero Dawn - Thunderjaw vs. Ravager (Ultra Hard) - 01:09 (Blazing Sun)

Can confirm this works so easily on PC, I got it first try using corruption arrows and the Thunderjaw tail swiped the Ravager, didnt even kill it with the cannon

Charged in when the Thunderjaw had it's back turned to me with full stealth gear on, over road it then bolted for cover and then let nature take it's course 😉. Done and dusted.

Mate you don't know how happy you made me! I've been grinding these hunting lodges on ultra in ng+ all afternoon. immediately skipped the campaign as soon as I could pass the fort for that ealry-OP playthrough. Now I can go to bed

BTW to complete challenge Thunderjaw just need to kill ravagers, so guide is super helpful, just don't forget to get some corruption and handling on u're bow

Step 1 : Find heros like this guy for helpful videos.
Step 2 : Wear the green stealth outfit & Fire 3 corruption arrows while hidden and whenever needed.
Step 3 : Be patient & Trust the Thunderjaw. (He will pull through for you in a few tries )

This still works! Just be patient guys…

i did it the same way as you
because taking off the weapon/override is a long ass job...
override usually ended up with thunderJ melee and them killing him rip

this isnt on ultra hard , no matter how many times i retried this my ravagers took 8 discs to die and never died from half a burst of the face machine guns

Hahahah thanks so much for this. Took a couple of tries, as either I messed up somehow, or the ravagers got stomped to death, but worked well in the end without any stress on my part ;D

I can't get him to use his launchers! He just either shoots them or melee attacks! THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST FRUSTRATING ONE!

This does not work, after multiple tries, they just kept looking for me and only attacked each other after 4 minutes

You have to get really lucky for this to work. Usually, the Thunderjaw will not use the disk launcher at all with this method

Just doesn't work for me, the thunder jaw never uses it's cannon, it just shoots from the head or stomps them, stupidly hard, ruined the game for me.

It's frustrating that the game cheats. The instructions it gives is to remove a Thunderjaw weapon or override a Thunderjaw. I'm glad you figured it out. It helped me.

Holy shit i stuggled so hard i did it by manually pirating a ravager, taking down the canons and then killing the ravagers. Well on ng+ i'll use this method! I need to try those arrows didn't thought it worked that way!

This is just nonsense. I've used corruption and it takes way way way too long to get the machines to fight. They just stand there and do nothing. I'm on my fifth attempt when corruption and it hasn't worked yet. So yeah, glad it worked for you but that's literally just you being lucky
