Fallout 4 Settlement Tips #2 - SUPPLY LINES EXPLAINED, BEST & EASIEST MONEY METHOD & MAX POPULATION!

So i added in the local leader perks via console commands and definitely have it but I cannot use the supply lines button it actually doesn't show up at all so I haven't been able to make any.

You can get more settlers by doing quests for the Mechanist. She sends you out to destroy rogue robots, and sometimes when you are there, there will be 3 settlers around. Be careful not to kill them. Sometimes instead of settlers, there will be BoS, Synths or Minutemen instead, however. You can just keep sending settlers to whatever settlements you want. Also, if you have a surplus of beds and have your Recruitment Beacon on, you will still attract the odd settler. Some of my settlements now have 40+ settlers.

Once you have completed Prep School, charisma is no longer the limiting factor,. Without mods, without any kind of charisma-boosting clothing, armour etc., you can gradually increase the population of your settlements to any level you want. All you need to do is create a Provisioner to your settlement. Follow them to your settlement, then open workshop and assign them a job. They will appear to ignore you - that's fine. Continue playing the game, and a few days later you will see a resource allocated message pop up on screen. When you go back to your settlement, the Provisioner is now doing whatever job you assigned them and the trade route is gone. Your population has gone up by one. You can do this over and over again.

R1 button for PS4. If you bought the Vault tech you get a settler management console. I still need to dabble into its use

easy way to make money (with mods). get the nano armor mod or whatever its called. craft multiple of the nano swords and jetpack and sell for about 800 to 1000 a piece. pretty easy to craft but you need like 4 in armorer and 3 in something else.

The game guide says you need min 30 population to recruit Smiling Larry as the weapons vendor so go figure

Do I have to have a settlement or can I just build my own house somewhere and forget about the rest?

the settlement stuff just gets me more hyped for fallout 5

a while back i just waited for settlers to spawn at redrocket and then i would assign them as a provisioner to sanctuary.
then i would go to sanctuary and wait for the provisioner and then assign them somewhere in the settlement .
even after they were unasined they just stuck around the settlement.
only issue was it was a bit glitchy but effecive and i had over 90 settlers in sanctuary on ps4.

I'm proud to say I figured out you could sell tons of water on my own.

at sanctuary I have about 30 industrial water purifiers and get about 1300 every day

so if you connect all your settlements to sanctuary hills or another area does that let you use all the junk from every settlement no matter where you are?

Lol I was wondering why raiders hadn't attacked sanctuary I built a full perimeter fence all told the def is 111 ^^ Guess raiders arnt as stupid as they seem, only death claws and rad scorpions have attacked so far.

I could not finish Fallout NV and 3, wasn´t so funny. But with 4 its a different tale; i simply cant stop playing and discovering stuff. glitches? yes but i really enjoy this game

The most settlers I've had in a settlement is 24.

i know this vid is a lil bit older but just so you guys know, if you want to expand settlement size then wait until you're at max settlement size, dump a bunch of guns on the ground, pick them all up individually and the bar should go back down. tested 8/6/16 still works c:
