BitTorrent and uTorrent are Malware

It sucks wipped my Internet out for 10 minutes malware virus

For the first time I got a Minning Malware from uTorrent, 15 years using it... not anymore.

I downloaded utorrent and found that it started on "start up" whether I waned it too or not. Ran Malwarebytes and it picked up 8 issues in relation to the program. As others have suggested, I got qbittorrent instead, ran Malwarebytes again and there are no issues, all is good.

Utorrent is a virus but qbitorrent is all good I use it and nothing happens

i tried bittorrent today without realizing it would do this, not only did i get those two browsers from installation, I also got webhelper, a cryptominer, mcafee, spyhunter5, adobe acrobat, opera GX, google earth pro, and I literally could not open chrome to google for answers, it disabled chrome and closed all my tabs that I had open, it set my default browser to opera and kept opening sketchy links, I literally spent two hours trying to remove this unwanted software since i could not delete many of the files as they were currently running, but in task manager many of the associated processes had different names than the program I was trying to remove so I had to play detective, this whole time I literally had zero apps open except task manager, file explorer, and these other apps that kept opening and I kept closing. After all this I changed all of my passwords and I'm hella pissed. This software is designed to proliferate. Even if you delete the files they will be redownloaded by the other programs it installs. What a scam.

My malwarebytes and anti virus software won't let me download UTorrent at all. So I guess you're right.

If you are going to torrent do it an a torrent specific machine and use for torrenting only. If it gets fubarred it doesnt impact your main pc.

What if i use it to download a game lets say, then uninstall the program itself after i have the game then will there be any issues?

I've had it installed for over 6 years now and it works like a standard torrent programme. Now, I tried to install it on a different PC, it (without my permission) installed Mcafee, some BS Vpn, and 2 other screen capture programs. My dumbass whitelisted the installation file when the antivirus knew it was malware. A bunch of popups on my desktop without ability to exit them. I managed to uninstall all of it (with IObit) including registry entries, and ran a full system scan but I'm still not sure if its all cleared up

I downloaded it minutes before watching this video and now I'm lost on what I should do.
On the bright side, apparently my firefox add on for blocking ads blocks all its ads and it opening a malware page and so on (at least I think that's why). It also hasn't had any problems with my firewall despite me setting it to not be an exception from my firewall.
Does that mean it's fine or should I still opt for something else?

I have been using uttorrent for 10+ years with zero issues yes they have adds like the site you're using to upload fucking videos lol. They are the top for downloading torrents and always have been. If you dont want to install the crap (Their sponsors) then you can check not too. I've downloaded and uninstalled utrorrent a 100 times and ive never seen adware on my computer that I chose not to download.


Yes uttorrent has adds running in the background if you want the best speed on your PC i recommend downloading QBittorrent. But malware? Uttorrent is not malware.

lmao I broke my computer because of downloading this. It made my computer very slow, and made something else happen causing me to replace the hard drive.

99,99% utorrents are infected with virus are more ways to download but you never know what at inside the files you want download

So I've been using a let's call it, "customized" iteration of v3.5.5 pro for a min. now, and I haven't seen anything like this. It never hogs, hangs up or acts strange at all. Are these issues that a "remanufacturer" could've corrected or do you think its just that it's pro? Tnx for the heads-up, btw.
