I would think you could do this on any Android phone. If you "root" an Android phone, as I do all of my phones, you load SuperSU and BusyBox (a robust set of Linux command-line commands. Since my Android phones turn out to be running Linux kernels, I can then bring up a Linux command line box and use Linux commands to navigate the internals of the phone. ls -l works the same way it does with Ubuntu or Kali, for example. Do I really need to get a Pine Phone to do this hack if my Samsung Android is rooted?

BTW, instead of using passwords, try passphrases consisting of several unrelated words (with numbers and/or symbols added to beat brute force crackers). It's easier to remember. Something like Jagged-Ocean-Frodo-Pogo1# is easier to remember than the random-generated passwords & harder for a cracker to guess than something like Fubar1! Make sure that, if you are writing systems, you do a lockout - say of an hour or 24 hours - if more than 5 incorrect attempts are tried. This makes brute-forcing the pwd virtually impossible. If you are using a pwd for a website, a lockout should require you to make contact with the site manager & have an alternative way to identify yourself.

I won't get into 2-factor authentications, except those that send a pin that's updated every 60 seconds (like an RSA system) to a pre-authorized phone. This won't stop somebody who steals your phone, but it will stop wardriving.
