I loved your lesson, It's the most monotonous thing to do but when I included this with minor and Major pentatonic's for chord tones, boy the whole guitar comes alive. I just played along with your lesson for hours and hours played it and played it. I didn't even understand it for the first few times of watching it and couldn't even keep up, fingers all over the place, but just stuck with it and about the third time of plodding through it, it began to click. I found playing along with you is really good because you can't stop and it makes you play. Most of the blues stuff I'm playing right now is in A so once I understood it I adapted it to A and boy what a difference. Thank you so much I have been trying to play this thing since I was about 13 I'm now 55, plus I'm left handed so had to turn everything around which is really confusing. Awesome lesson if you can stick with it. Thanks really.
ОтветитьThank you for the lesson
ОтветитьExcellent tutorial! The handsome guitar - not overshining the teacher - that is a three and a half grand guitar? (At least from Europe)! I guess you will be able to afford one when guitar(wo)manship is your profession :)

ОтветитьThanks for sharing your knowledge. I am only 60% through the video but have already learned plenty that previously I couldn't get my head around. Looking forward to finishing your excellent video and more of your teachings. Again many thanks.
ОтветитьI have been studying from books and I have learned a lot about the CAGED system, strumming, finding notes around the neck, and how to pick, but the books on the CAGED system has never showed me how to apply chord shapes along the neck. I have had an Epiphany - I would like to say Thank You, God Bless you and keep providing these eye opening lessons.
ОтветитьVery nice lessons. May I make a suggestion—when you strum the cords, it is hard to hear some of what you’re saying, so lowering the guitar volume a little bit would help. I personally, need to hear every word you say :)
ОтветитьThis is a fantastic lesson on the Caged System!
While I am familiar and use the caged system, this is the Best lesson I’ve ever come across for reinforcing Caged! Thank you!
I came up with the caged system on my own by playing a backward alphabet game I call back a letter plus 2 frets game. Taking in to account the b and e strings are tuned down you have to ad 3 instead 2 ,, I do not limit. Inversions by shapes. Plus I keep it going in a circle when you get to the d you have to remember tuned down b string. So. D to c backwards plus 2 frets up has to be 3 frets up instead ,.. d string fret 10 Goes to (c12) which is b 13 because of the string being tuned down …
ОтветитьThank you. So helpful.
ОтветитьA metronome would help a lot for beginners.
ОтветитьNo need to take it easy „when your hand gets tired“. Do it until you cramp, play something easy for a couple minutes then come back and keep doing it, eventually you’ll simply have very strong hands and no issues. Of course not in a day, but soon enough.
ОтветитьMy god, what a beautiful guitar
ОтветитьI have been studying the CAGED system and hit a wall when trying to memorize and apply chord locations. These exercises were a great way to keep moving forward! Thank you so much! Tim
ОтветитьWhat a good video maestra! I always shied away from learning the CAGED system but you did it so well that I see its potential, thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьYour clear explanation of concepts and split screen help so much, thank you!!
ОтветитьThanks for this Molly, this video finally got the CAGED system into my head. Speed of movement between shapes isnt there yet so i need to work on that and bringing these into how i play. Will be heading to your site for help! Thanks again, a great lesson.
Ответитьsick shedding!
