Service and materials?
Ответитьhave they tried a hemp-lime mixture ?
Ответить❤️🙌👏👏
ОтветитьAn amateur's humorless summary, fwiw:
First "Gaia" home made of, in decreasing order, rice straw, raw earth, rice husk, lime.
Left behind is a cavity that becomes a pond fed by rainwater running off roof.
It looks a lot like a wasp nest. A challenge is closing off the home's dome because, for now, earth is weaker than concrete. So far, quite large sky lights are the solution.
However, in development are geopolymers aka "green cement." These are of two components mixed for a cold-printed "alkaline reaction" that avoids cement's energy and CO2 costs without, in one case, compromising strength. Extrusion must be continuous lest the geopolymer harden in the mixer.
Their Dior popup is brilliant. Exterior "cannage" looks like fine fabric.
Mosquitoes with the pond.
Awesome job guys.
Tecla/Gaia proof house looks awesome!
ОтветитьIf you want to make a house with natural insulation, build like our ancestors and indigenous peoples - a mixture of dirt, grass and water. Simple, cheap and the most efficient .
Houses stay cool in summer and warm in winter.
Technical question on the write-up section... kw is a unit of power, but it says "6kw of energy was used". So was it 6kw of power (as limited by the breaker panel), or 6kwh of energy (as measured by the power company's meter)?
Either way, I want one! Just as soon as they become legal.
Awesome well done.
ОтветитьI watched people build mud hutts like this in Afghanistan. I remember watching them build with some combination of clay/straw and something else then it would bake in the sun and you couldn't even shoot through it with a machine gun. Someone should interview the old afghan farmers and see what you can learn from their building techniques because they can build a house with no materials at all right from the earth. I remember watching them build and I was thinking wow I think this is probably house they built the pyramids (formed the blocks/moulted them with some kind of ancient filtered concrete)
Ответить한국에 진출안하시나요? 너무 하고싶네요~
ОтветитьCertainly the clay will weather over time..
Ответитьbaking is a stupid idea, you still input high amount of energy... so it does not make it more friendlier than concrete
ОтветитьWow, would never have thought of using a delta printer to print a house. Oh wait, it isn't really a delta printer. Not sure if there is an equivalent filament printer.
ОтветитьThis could be the beginning of killing the 30 year mortgage banking system
ОтветитьThey should try using this technology to make custom bricks that would be easier to mass produce, but could have features that would be very useful in normal brick construction
ОтветитьVery great project. I would like to make something alike.
Maybe it would require some plastic armature.
I love the texture they've created with the house and the off center skylight.... interesting that these are far more artistic than what they're doing in the States with 3D printers. Bravi!
