ОтветитьI feel some tension between roger and David but it makes their playing more intense
ОтветитьIt's a shame this version wasn't recorded with better equipment. This is just beautiful.

ОтветитьRoger Waters penned “Pigs (3 Different Ones)” (1977) about Mary Whitehouse, a British woman who led a movement to keep sex off TV. He felt Whitehouse had no right to decide what people should or shouldn’t watch.
Along with dogs and sheep, pigs are one of three animals appearing on the album. The pigs represent people, like Whitehouse, who believe they are the moral authorities. The sheep are the people who obey the pigs and are just innocent bystanders. And dogs are people who are back stabbers and against the pigs.
The LP cover shows a giant inflatable pig drifting above London power station. But during the shoot, the pig unfortunately broke free, where it caused chaos as it floated near Heathrow airport. It went up about 18,000 feet before coming down in a farm in Kent. They never got the shot, finally compositing two pictures for the cover.
Years later, Roger Waters used an inflatable pig when he performed at the 2008 Coachella festival, and this time the pig was emblazoned with the name “Obama,” as the English musician wanted to support the US Democratic presidential candidate. When the time came to play the number, the pig was released on cue, but broke free and floated away.
Another major problem… Mary Whitehouse was a household name in the UK in the 1970s. However, nobody in America had the slightest clue who she was. So what seemed like a great idea 💡 originally ended up being anything but‼️ Waters stated : “Everybody in the United States assumed it was an attack on the presidency, on Washington, on the White House❕ 💙🐷💚
I was only 13, & missed this show, but saw them (the David Gilmore version) at this same stadium, around 15 years later. If anything, Gilmore got better. Totally shredded it!
ОтветитьJust the right amount…of…cowbell.
ОтветитьThe last two and a half minutes of this performance are the essence of Pink Floyd. Masters of the atmosphere, leading listeners from nirvana to chaos. Unrepeatable!
ОтветитьYou know who killed Jesus...... pigs..... disgusting close minded pigs.
ОтветитьWhy don't we have music this great anymore? What went wrong?
Ответитьi wish the audio for this was better damn
Ответить17 minutes... wew
ОтветитьThis gives me the chills...
ОтветитьGrande Floyd, esto es música.
ОтветитьBest music ever made
ОтветитьI love the tormented pig noise when the song cuts to the hard riffs towards the middle, super dope, sounds like outer space music when they combine shi like this
ОтветитьIs there any chance we will ever see any of these concerts from the 70s?
ОтветитьJRAD played this last Saturday in Atlanta. This was the BirdSong jam
LFG 🔥🔥🔥
I bought this album in'78,one of the first records I bought and I still love it as first time I heard it. Life is strange. Music is stranger.
ОтветитьStill great.
