I bought a domain to connect to shopify around 10 minutes ago and when i type it into the connect existing domain thing it has an option to purchase it. I copy pasted the domain from godaddy so i dont know what could be wrong. please help.

For anyone using Squarespace or any other type of domain, go to your domain dashboard and at the top right click edit DNS. Delete the one with the squarespace "Type A" and "Type CNAME" Then add a record and make "Type A" the ip adress shopify gives you when you get the error. Then do the same for the one on "CNAME" and make it the "shops.shopify" thing that shopify gives you on the error. click save. Hope this helps
