Why does 50 w 8 ohm resistor is connected between red and black wire. What is the use of that ? What if i dont connect such resistor in my project ?

Terrific project. I will definitely be making one with a spare spare SFX 650W power supply. I will make a few modifications in the case design, planning to use the RK6006 DC buck converter and use Wagos replace the huge ferrules. Thank you very much for sharing, you design is the best I have seen.

Hi. Thanx for intuitive video. Just one question: are 3.3v, 5v and 12v outputs sharing a single ground? So you can only use one of them at a time? My psu has 3 12v rails @18a each. I want my 3.3v, 5v and 12v to have their own ground posts so i can use them simultaneously. Of course staying within amp limits. Also I want to use all 3 12v rails. They are there on the psu, meant to be used. It should give me more output options. Am I missing something?
