The new version of open XR doesn’t show fixed foveated rendering, what can i do ?

I was wondering if you were able to do a revised settings for Assetto Corsa with all the new Custom Shaders Patch options. I am using the new Purevr filter which seems to work well, but there seem to be a lot of new settings options that I am not sure about?

I got a 3080 and a 5600x 32GB of 3600 mhz ram and all my pc wants to do is crash when i boot a game in steam VR for the most part sometimes it runs and when it does it's d support smooth but 95% of the time it just crashes orrr goes into theatere mode its so annoying

I have an error while starting AC - XR_ERROR_SYTEM_INVALID xr_ext->xrgetd3d11grapihicsrequirementsKHR(xr_instance, xr_system, &graphicsRequirements) Anyone help? :(

Hey thank you for the video, your settings work quite well with my rtx 3070ti even in no hesi server, only gripe is:
1. fences and dense renders do flicker quite a lot :(
2. when in servers with traffic, the lights of the cars keep popping in and out, also traffic in general renders in quite late.
Any idea how to fix these? Might have to do with the render distance?

I got OpenXR to work thank you but it added like a minute to my initial load time before the image of the track appears. Is that normal? Reverb G2, 3080ti and the game is on NVME

Can anyone go more in depth on creating the .ini file. I’m a newby and only have the option to create a text document when I click “new”

You cant set the render protocol in AC on OPENXR, you only can start with OPENVR, when i choose OPENVR protocol also AC crashes (i did everyting like in the video)

So maybe you can send me in right direction?

I think it has to d with opencomposite, i cant reverse the TO STEAMVR or backwards button is greyed out...

I thought i can uninstall open composite with Als wanted to downloaded the new componsite download, but i the zip file is corrupt, i ran a query:
%localappdata%/openvr/openvrpaths.vrpath

And found the only open composite is installed on my desktop..


Question 2: when i change the nvidia settings as mentioned in your video, my fps is massively 50% slower, what could this be?

any advise, you would help me a lot, i want to run openxr with foveated function to get my 90 or perhaps 120hz!

Also could you please make a better video about OPENXR foveated and that rendering resolution 50%, i dont get that part (did see video 10 times now :)

HI, everything worked, great tutorial, however when I'm running OpenComposite, I lose my FFB in asseto corsa, steering wheel works normally, but without FFB. Need help.

So now that I have upgraded to an MSI 4070 video card, when I try to run OpenXR, I get the following error message: "OpenComposite DLLMain ERROR: Cannot init VR: unsupported apptype 6" Any idea why this would be happening? The card is a big upgrade over my old 2080 when running SteamVR, but really want to get it working in OpenXR.

You use some contradicting settings in Nvidia panel. Low Latency Mode makes sure you don't use pre-rendered frames and reduces latency this way. Virtual Reality pre-rendered frames queues pre-rendered frames for GPU, increasing the latency. Maybe I'll test how it behaves myself, but these settings seem like they alter the same thing but in opposite way, so I'm not sure which of the two is prioritized when you set it like that.

[EDIT] fixed with latest csp 1.80 preview 218. no more delay.

thanks again also for the great settings, one thing i noticed that when i launch AC with openxr it takes alot of time like 1 minute to launch, but with steamvr its almost 5 seconds, do you know what could be the reason of this delay ? Danke schön :)

So strange. I was getting a solid 90fps after following this video. After not having played in a few weeks. I'm only getting around 60. I check every setting and I haven't changed anything.

I love your setups 🤩. Some settings surprise me, for example, the low level of the MSAA and Anisotropic filters, however, they get great results. Why do you use such low values ​​and get such good results?

but SteamVR still opens after click LOS in Content manager and plaky AC in VR. opencompisite is set correct. ACC workds without SteamVR..... I also have no toolkit in AC.. the exe is not listed in the companion app

Can't thank you enough mate.Transformed AC for me. Steady 90FPS from 59.5 previous. Only thing I'm unsure about is the point in note 1) where exactly do I disable FXAA in the graphics adjustments section? I cannot see this option. Cheers.

One thing I'm wondering about and couldn't find any concrete information for - in Nvidia you have the prerendered frames set to 3 right? For most sims I see a recommendation to set this to 1. Was there a specific reason you set this to 3? To be honest I don't notice any difference if I use 1 or 3.. just curious if you have a theory why 3 might be better :)

On a fresh PC with rtx4080 and i5-13600, AC was running with SteamVR on Reverb with 50fps and bizarre light flickering, whatever i tried. This Opencomposite thing is a whole different experience, many thanks for the video ❤

so i did what you said for the open composite and when i launch the game i get an error for opencomposite, so im not sure whats going on

I don't think the hidden mesh works in AC, I changed it to .1 and no difference. It does work in acc tho

Hallo, habe alles genau nach Anleitung Installiert/Eingestellt und funktioniert auch so weit. Leider geht aber dann mein FFB beim Thrustmaster T150 nicht mehr. Gehe ich zurück auf SteamVR geht das FFB wieder. Vielleicht einen Tip für mich? Dank Frank

Hello, I have installed/set everything exactly according to the instructions and it works so far. Unfortunately, my FFB no longer works with the Thrustmaster T150. If I go back to SteamVR, the FFB works again. Maybe a tip for me? Thx Frank

opencomposite.ini file did not work for me under x64 directory. It worked when I put it under the main AC directory.

How do you start the game without useing steamvr?
