I know I’m late but can you block all the way down to the resource level? Or is this just domain level blocking based on categories?

Fyi, for those IT pros out there who already utilize Microsoft 365 and have proper licensing for Intune (MDM), you probably have access to Defender for Business which already has network protection (web filtering). Defender does this along with a bunch of other things people seem to be unaware of (like being a full blown EDR). And it's just built into Windows which is a major advantage. Plus it works on Mac and Linux as well. Even servers. All centrally controlled and cloud based. Most companies at this point are into 365 at some level.

There is also all the cloud app monitoring, blocking, alerting, etc stuff that you can build rules for which is crazy extensive that nobody talks about.

I know LS doesn't seem to do anything in the Microsoft space, but imo you are missing out. There is so much there and everyone is using Microsoft endpoints and servers in some capacity.

What happens when a client makes a connection not using DNS? Can it still be blocked? Does Zorus use IP Reputation lists?

Would love to try it for my school but it’s not available in Europe, are there any alternatives?

This would be cool if they offered a DNS service online that you could pay a subscription to and then force all your PFSense traffic through. Sort of like NextDNS

A great tool for horrible companies. When you treat employees like shit and pay them minimum wage then you should expect them to screw the pooch regularly. Should do well in the us of a.

So is the tool pulling from AD when figuring out what user on a laptop or desktop is requesting access to a blocked site? Does this tool integrate with AD?

It’s a very dangerous combination to monitor employees and to „manage the engagement“ 😮

I watched the whole video, it looks to be a great tool for web filtering and the engagement is interesting too. I can't seem to find what operating systems it supports, and I'd like to see more with the consoles and how they work with multi-tenant MSP situations.
