Hi, thanks for the video. Where's the "STEM" video? I'm getting the moaning around the home when anything water is used, including noise afterwards. Thank You
ОтветитьAfter checking our indoor faucet fittings as you demonstrated, the humming continued. We then checked everything outside - sprinkler valves? no change; hose bibs? Yes! one was the culprit. No more humming. Thanks
ОтветитьThx so much for the solution to my 2 month headache 😅
ОтветитьI live in an apartment. My cold water line under my kitchen & bathroom sinks vibrate even when the faucets are shut off?
ОтветитьAre we not going to talk about the person watching him thru the hole?
ОтветитьGREAT! Within one minute of watching this video I had stopped my cold tap from humming in an upstairs bathroom; I never would have suspected that it was originating on the hot side! You saved me the cost of a plumbing call, thank you!
ОтветитьHello Michael! I'm researching because my pipes are suddenly starting to hum and I'm a plumbing novice so I'm trying to figure out what my issues could be.
Recently my water heater died and funds are tight so the water intake to the water heater is turned off while we save to replace it. Things were fine for awhile but a couple days ago I noticed an aggressive humming coming when I was using the kitchen sink (cold water obviously). It went away when I turned the water off and wasn't repeated on other times using that sink so I figured it was a weird one off or maybe due to some local construction happening in my neighborhood.
But today it happened when the toilet was being flushed, and when the tub cold water was being used. But again only a one off.
I'm thinking it's probably not valves since those were untouched and I don't know where to find my bathtub valves anyway to check those. Could there be other causes or things I could look into? So far Google is just telling me water pressure and I found your video when trying to look up how to reduce my water pressure. But I'm skeptical of that's it since a couple weeks happened between the water heater dying and the humming starting, and I dread the cost of a plumber with everything else going on. Got some ideas i can try?
Thanks 🙏
ОтветитьI've got a humming sound all over my unit, the same sound decibal, I wonder if it's due to the pipes and if so, are there pipes in the roof, It's not an electrical issue, could that be the problem?
ОтветитьThank you for this!
ОтветитьHappens when I flush toilet too
No vibration just humming
Dude you are the man you suggestion works. One thing I found was that I had to turn the cold water valve all the way off and open the water to the full position and slowly turn the water valve on. Thanks
ОтветитьCant begin to tell u how much this saved my life. Lol
ОтветитьOpening the bathroom sink hot water handle fully would cause a humming/vibrating sound in the wall. It started a few weeks ago out of the blue. Following your advice, I simply opened the supply valve below the sink fully, and the problem is gone! Thank you, Michael!
ОтветитьThank you! As a DIY guy, my first reaction is normally to pull everything apart; which I nearly did. Thanks to your video, I checked that the valve was fully open. It wasn't. Problem solved and more time on my hands to pull something else apart. 🙂 Thank you!
ОтветитьIt worked ty
ОтветитьIt was in the full open positon when you first opened the cabinet doors.
ОтветитьThank you so much! This fixed my problem we had been going crazy trying to figure it out.
ОтветитьI can't thank you enough!!!! My hot water in the bathroom has been "vibrating" for a year and then the cold water started. I have been struggling financially and was devastated thinking about a plummer. I turned the valves like you said and now they are PERFECT!!!
ОтветитьThank you. We have been living with that noise for the longest time ever. I am so glad I found your video, we opened to the fullest and the noise is gone.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьTHATS EXACTLY THE SOUND/NOISE my shower makes.
I have a single knob adjuster and when I turn it on hot mode, it hums so loudly.
How do I fix this?
Thanks I've been hearing this for awhile and it was exactly what you just showed me except it was the kitchen valves.
ОтветитьI have the same problem but with hot water faucet in shower and I just replaced the shower tub and two faucet stem also I blended the water
But still have same issue
Vibrating humming coming from shower hot water line
ОтветитьWow...jeez...thank you!!!
ОтветитьGreat video, tho you would think a plumber could sort this, we have had 3 trying to fit a water filter and now been getting this problem for days. One came back thought he had fixed it and it started again. Driving me mad, my nervous system is terrible. Turned what we THINK is the pressure down there is a shut of valve on it too.
ОтветитьThank you!! You hit the nail on the head!! Greatly appreciated!!
ОтветитьHorrible, unnecessary, way too long intro. Too much vainglory self importance.
ОтветитьWhat if this is only occurring with the shower body valve when it’s turned on
Ответитьmines on the toilet. so its always running and is pretty violent when i try to open it more. do i surpass that? i wish it had another handle to turn off lol
ОтветитьMy tap speaks to me in a language I can't understand.
ОтветитьSo this was 1 cause with 3 solutions. This was not as helpful as I had hoped it would be.
ОтветитьThank you. I just opened the valve to full open. Problem solved.
ОтветитьGlad to .meet q5cyber on ig this had been a wonderful experience but tho stressful.thank you for .retrieving my Bitcoin
ОтветитьOk so if you want to turn down the pressure because your new faucet sprays water out too hard what do you do? I crank my pressure down so it doesn’t gush out & I do get the humming. What are my options?
ОтветитьWow, that was easy. Thank you so much
ОтветитьSorry, I do not understand how turning off the hot water valve stopped the hum. There was zero flow in the hot water line because the faucet was off. Plus before you turned the valve off it was already in the full on position but was humming. You turned it from the full open position to off the back to the full open position. Please explain. Thanks
ОтветитьMy entire home has a low humming vibrating sound it us super annoying started when pipes and boilers installed cannot pinpoint exactly where it's coming from its like its in the walls
ОтветитьThank you so much. -- totally fixes the thumping/vibrating issue with the cold water
ОтветитьWhen I flush the toilet then switch sinks water on it makes humm noise if I switch the water tape off noise stop
ОтветитьI live in an apartment above boiler room in a old building with baseboard heating radiators. During winter months the heater/boiler makes a humming noise like and isle diesel truck, all night and sometimes morning.
ОтветитьMy mother has these hmmmmmmm low groaning noise like a buzzing mower!
ОтветитьWe should turn main water valve all way up in full open position and not three quarter open position, right?
ОтветитьMy basement bathroom faucet vibrates when i turns on and stop after water is on so i should try your method by either turns valves all way on both hot and cold to test if it is not vibrates anymore the problem fixed but if it is still vibrates then i need change valves, right?
