Is The GT 1030 Worth it in 2021?!?

So they went to ddr4 memory and removed the Display port and added
DVI port? That makes zero sense.

In 2023 i still use this card, not in my main gaming rig, but in my secundary rig which i use for older games like gta 4, red dead 1, need for speed underground series and most wanted etc. Great games from the past which are fun to play even to this day! I paired it with a Core i7 2600 and it gives great performance! Even GTA 5 is more than playable on this card, which is quite impressive! My main rig is i5 10400f, 32gb of ram (if i ever want to make a video, this ram will help out) and a gtx 1660 super ;)

Can this GPU play GTA5,Enlisted,GTA4,Genshin Impact and last Valorant at law settings

Would the gt 1030 work in a pc with a 255 watt psu?

These days you'd be better off going with an RX 550. Better performance than the GT 1030 plus if you want to make content it has a video encoder which the 1030 does not.

I was gonna buy a 980 Ti for $150 used but a local person offered me a 1030 for $200 and said he was losing money on the sale but just needed the money real bad and that they normally go for around $300 used and he hooked me up. I feel kind of bad now. It 5 tiers above the 980 ti minus whatever the ti counts as a tier.

I have one and its amazing i can my favourite games with not any stutters (bc i optimized my pc thats why)

this is the best card to have for last gen games. dont even bother trying to run modern titles. but for last gen you get at least 60 fps and 1080p-1440p at max graphics for most games. i love the low power useage, and price. i mainly play games from last gen anyway, so it suits my needs perfectly.

I use the ASUS GT 1030 with GPU Tweak II that came with it. It plays stuff like FiveM and call of duty quite well

I bought a second hand GTX 650ti boost 2gb for 35$, rather than GT 1030 and Im glad I did, it would be much worse and much more expensive.

And what about performance in some older games as GTA4, Dead Space, Crysis, Half Life 2 etc? I bought GTX 1050 just to play them on my older PC and this one shows its quality in such games and I love it. Maybe soundless 1030 is good enough as well?

Fuck settling for depreciated parts just because you want something now. It pays to wait and check the market.

Do not get a 1030 if you want gaming. Save an additional 150 and get a rtx 3050. They are reasonable or get a arch gpu. 1030s are still being sold for 80-110 which is garbage. Save a little and wait a little longer and you'll get something of better worth

been using a gigabyte passive 1030 for a while, handles Sea of Thieves with 1080p rare graphical settings while hovering between 30 and 60 fps only dropping framerate when cannonballs and flames are flying everywhere, decent card if you aren't a pixel peeper or graphics snob

This thing can play RDR 2 at decent settings and uses 28 watts of electricity . It's almost impossibly powerfull for the electricity it uses.
GTA 4 , GTA 5 , Fortnite, RDR2 etc etc etc, you get over 40fps at 1080p which is very good for a cheap GPU with under 30 watts of peak power use.
The Biostar 4GB GT 1030
is less than 100$ on ebay and you can use it in pretty much any PC

I have a old 4160 i3 family pc I have a series s but still want to play some old games and pc only fps games so Ill buy a 1030 for 60$ first time I tried it pc didn’t. Boot since we never used it so I had to clean the ram and get a new cmmo battery I’ll slowly upgrade my pc every couple of months get a better cpu then new ram new gpu etc
