You made an excellent point about lion king and how the newer animation absolutely pails in comparison on the basis that in cannot even remotely capture the emotion present in the former film. The ladder film, of course, being more of a realistic take on the movie makes it appear as if the animals are just blankly staring into an abyss even at such times as when Simba’s father died.

You can't forget the soundtrack of the original. The original soundtrack of Lion King was and still is unbeatable. Tim Rice and Elton John made that movie even better. The fact that they didn't even use them again is just sad. The whole reason that movie ever became a tradition in my family WAS the soundtrack. You can't do circle of life or Can you feel the love without Elton. Not when you associate the two (movie and musician). It was disappointing.

Cats was just a strange spin off of a realistic Fury fan fiction.
But if you wanna go there, we might aswell say Gaurdians of the Galaxy , and Lord of the rings Is just a Hippies battle ground , because finally there are trees that could potentially love them back.

Both MiB International and L&T had chris hemsworth and tessa thompson as leads, and both had forced and weirdly dated humour that didn't land 90% of the time, coincidence?

I can agree with you on MIB international. That movie didn’t need to exist. The Lion king (2019) is a weird one for me. So I may not agree with you on that one. Because I have reasons.
1. The death of Mufasa hit hard for me.
2. The animation looks great.
Negatives:
1. The music sucks.
2. They wasted the potential for Simba. (Having another actor sing the song).

I like how you review lot of movie that good and bad but it still the best reviews of bad movies. I even though I adore it a lot
