I will never understand what the freaking hell is hard with understanding the need to put the bloody text a fair amount of time before having to sing the lyrics.

I used to drive semi trucks. Even though it was regional and I was home every couple days or so, this song would really tear me up. I was supposed to make it home one night but something happened and I didn't make it until the next day. My mom was watching my son for me while I was out. She told me that he was so sure I was coming to get him that he refused to take off his shoes or backpack when he got off the bus. When I didn't make it, he cried himself to sleep. I just couldn't do it anymore after that. 20 some odd years later and this song still gets me.
