I think you've underrated Canon G7X. To my experience as owner of that (G7X MK3) for 4 years, it's very handy for street photography. 1 inch matrix, 20 MP in RAW (Canon CR3 format), 18 MP max camera JPEG, image effects, zoom lens (and even very adequate digital zoom), exposure correction wheel, PASM ring, tilt screen, which allows easily shoot the sophisticated perspectives, compact in size. To me, ideal one for its price. Actually, it is very similar to RICOH in size. However, of course, RICOH has better matrix, hot shoe, and many more.

I'm late but it's not fair to rank something you haven't used it. And give them a rank because of online reviews is dumb.

My dream camera would be a digital canon a1. I've been looking for a more reliable and creative photocentric kit then my canon r5. Ended up with an x t30 ii paired with mf lenses. The xpro I shall consider someday, would be great on street, but when shooting my personal projects, wich often means extreme darkness and no flash (must be a fetish 🤣), I'll have to use the evf anyway, because there's no focus feedback from the ovf. With the x t 30 I have a kit that also serves as everyday carry. The x100... well... no markings on the lens, electronic mf, and cant switch for mf lenses... forget it. I dont want live view on for the distance scale and an f2 lens apsc would make it harder to shoot people candidly on the darkness, wich I often do. I dont consider the ricoh because no vf and no friendly mf added to the poor low light af given what I've read about it.

Sorry, this is a terrible video - if you haven't experienced half of these cameras, how can you rate them? You should only rate cameras that you have a lot of first-hand experience with. For the cameras you haven't used, you're just propagating hearsay and unfounded prejudices of the community.

You should try any of the RX100 series cameras. They are very good for street photography

I just got back to the full frame tiny Nikon z6 Mark 2, and I'm extremely happy with this camera, especially when it's hooked with a 28 mm f/2.8 or 50 mm f/1.8 lens. It's definitely more than $1K, but you get what you pay for.

I hated the m50 cause of not having 2 dials. The m6 mk ii is my dream camera, the video is so good and doesnt have the crop. I've been using it for years and love the photos and video. feel like it's so easy to always want more likea sony a7s iii but it's often us and not the camera that limits. Learned to just really enjoy working with what I have but absolutely in love with the m6 mk ii with the 22mm lens!

Using a xpro with 27mm 2.8 for street and general use, amd 56mm for portraits. Was very happy once though with my Olympus emd 10 for size and fun. Now considering adding ricoh gr3x.

LOL! You are so wrong! For someone who has never used an Olympus, and only go on a camera because of looks??! Come on! I use GR's and Olympus, because they both are simply the best (in this group). The Olympus can work just like a GR but is both weather sealed and also takes interchangeable lenses (including 'PanaLeica'). Fuji should be in the 'OK' section because lets face it, they only get a higher ranking because the look like a Leica M. m43 still completely relevant in today's world.

Looking for a small camera with very good autofocus. I need it to shoot cyclists while I'm riding a bike by myself. So no low light.

I can definitely guarantee that Canon M200 with 22mm F2 is a great choice. I bought both the camera and the lens all together and never bothered using the kit lens.
I've been shooting Nikon for 20+ years, but the brand doesn't offer a pocketable all-around mirrorless camera. Anyways, I must admit that Canon menus are great... shooting the m200 is a joy.
Unfortunately, Canon has recently discontinued EOS M system.

One thing I discovered today which Im wondering right now - why is no one talking about the older rx100 cameras for street? I mean its basically similar to the lx100, just smaller, lighter and with a 1inch sensor instead of a m43 sensor.

I get that the phone camera just has the advantage of being easy to use and always in your pocket, but still this is a bit ridiculous. There should be no phone on a list like this, especially not outranking proper cameras.

The xf10 would be perfect if they made a newer version with the updated x-trans sensor

I would put Lumix GX85 in the best row along with X100V. GX85 with leica 15mm f1.7 (30mm equiv.) is just insanely good combo.
