Idk why they don’t do a 7 part mini series on Voldemort. Literally recast everyone. One episode per horcrux, show how he got them all. End it with the night he tried to kill Harry. Show the curse rebounding and cut to black. Then you have a whole new cast ready for the new reboot.

I would like to know how Wormtail went bad

I would love to see everyday life aspect in Hogwarts from the book brought to life.

I hope they make Dumbledore ask calmly, and I hope they make him a lot more book-dumbledore-like (The first actor in the movies did this excellently, may he rest in peace). I just hope they make characters like they were in the books. Like Ron was very different in the movies. Same for Ginny. Hermione should be far more geeky and "ugly". Snape was far more "hateable", the list goes on.

I haven't read the books, but heard a lot from fans that Ron and Ginny's characters were done great injustice in their portrayal in the movies. I hope to see the characters the way fans have told me about them, because they sound way more interesting in the books than they ever were in the movies.

The real fight between Dumbledore and Voldemort.

Wait.. Tom Riddle Snr knocked up old love and dipped and then she proceeded to name her son after him? That’s whack af. That’s some shitty story telling.

One thing they omitted that will always bother me is Harry fixing his Phoenix Wand.
It would have taken literally a few seconds on the bridge scene to do it.

I would like them to show Peter Pettigrew's death at his own hand. It was such a vivid scene in the book, so I was surprised that it was omitted in the movie.

Also, I prefer the way JK wrote the final battle between Voldemort and Harry. It was in front of the whole school, and was more dramatic.

I wonder if they will be spend the story into things Rowling cut from the books, like the greater role of Dean Thomas

If they don’t include everything from the books they might as well not call it Harry Potter

I swear if they use the TV series to pull some controversial racial casting, I will just fuckin burn all my HP stuff.

The first parts of the goblet of fire would have been hilarious to see when the Wesley's crash through the electric fire place to pick up harry great stuff. As long as they don't wreck the show with race swapping this show could be amazing

Honestly there is a lot of stuff they missed. Among the things I absolutely need most is book 5 and 6 (because the movies were very disappointing) and the final duel between harry and voldemort to be exactly like in the books, because it was just hands down perfect

I don't think we'll get everything that was omitted and things will be added in.

Removal of SPEW doesn't degrade Hermione's character development.

She already had all the attention and emotional aspects of her and as well as Ron's character.

Don't forget about Percy’s fallout with his family, Hagrids fight with Umbridge and her squads, Voldemort explaining his return. The Weasley’s destroying the Dursley’s living room. And the Quidditch cup finals in Azkaban.

Please show what happened after the battle of Hogwarts HBO!

Actually showing what happened after the battle - something the books never described and would give the series an advantage.

1. a pretty Ginny with a personality
2. A book accurate kindly Dumbledore
3. A Stunning Fleur.

- Harry fixing the Elder Wand.
- All the kids introduced from the beginning, Lavender, the Patil twins, etc...
- Charlie Wesley and Bill possibly meeting Fleur Delacour during The Goblet of Fire for some foreshadowing.
- Ron not being a dumbass!
- Dean Thomas's backstory that JKR actually had written about that didn't make it into the books.
- Continuity, characters being around their actual ages.
- Maybe make it a period piece setting it around the 90's?!
- Jack Thorne to possibly write the series after his great work on His Dark Materials.

Goblet of fire felt incredibly rushed. There was a lot of smaller plots and the trials were really cut down.

What i want. Not a remake. I dont know why they couldnt take the elements of the world and come up with an original story. I wish i was a star wars fan cause they get so many spin offs of and new series/ movies .

Not the first to mention it, but we really need redemption for Ginny's character in this series. If you didn't know what happens in the books, Ginny and Harry's relationship really comes out of the blue and feels like it was thrown in there for the sake of giving Harry a girlfriend. Ginny got so little care in the movies. Now with a 10 year series, there's no excuse to not redeem this.

I want to see "A Parting of the Ways" after Voldemort returns

I would like to see some more scenes with the Dursley family. One of my favorite scenes from the books is where Dumbledore is picking up Harry from #4 privet. Here Dumbledore chides the Dursleys for mistreating Harry since he arrived at their doorstep. In this scene Dumbledore criticizes the Dursleys for treating Harry as a unwelcomed houseguest.

The SPEW is also very important for the development of Ron and Hermione’s relationship! It was that moment when all he cared about was those elves in the middle of a war that she knew he cared about stuff that matter to her❤️😊

Another reason to include Winky was that she is also a major part of Barty Jr's story (despite her stubborn insistence of never telling anyone anything about the Crouch family due to her continuing loyalty). And Hermione's SPEW campaign would no doubt strike a chord with many, since not only do most of the characters raised in the wizard world consider it something that doesn't need to change, but it's also suggested that Hermione doesn't actually consider the feelings of the house elves themselves (simply believing that they're basically brainwashed and will be grateful for freedom regardless of the circumstances).

I hope they show the battle of Hogwarts in full. Also the entire duel between Mrs. Weasley and Bellatrix. The books described a duel that was burning up the air around them and cracking the floor. In the movies, Mrs. Weasley gets her one liner and one shots her.

I heard that peeves was cut, because the child actors couldn't keep it together, because the actor playing Peeves was too funny.

The goblet of fire missed so much, from the quidditch World Cup to the majority of the third task and so much more. Definitely the book I’m most excited to see redone

You all are getting your hopes up. This will be like Game of Thrones where they change and cut things because that’s what HBO does just like the movies.

In my opinion, one of the most important elements to the storyline that they left out is the change of heart in Kreacher... That was such a very moving part of the storyline, and it's ridiculous that they didn't include it

I’d like to see Hagrid portrayed accurately too and a better character arc. He was a much bigger plot in the books than the movies.

Can't wait for half the story to change to "adapt for a modern audience" :/

Just give the role of Dumbledore to Ian McKellen, so we have an actual gay Dumbledore, who can say "Oh, to be young and feel love's keen sting."

the moment where peter petigrew died at malfoy manor. this little conversation between harry and peter redeemed him for what he did to harry's parents

Ludo Bagman's time has come

I still think the ending in the book makes mor sense then in the movie for Deathly Hollows 2. As the movie shows it, no one would even know Voldemort is dead let alone that Harry Killed him. In the books everyone is watching as Harry finishes Voldemort off.
