Great Video, good that you debunked a lot of arguments against the implementation of socialism!

Would you consider the DPRK and Cuba to be socialist? In this video you alluded to Cuba possibly not being socialist but you didn’t mention the DPRK.

It is true to say that most of the problems the USSR had were due external reasons. But lets also admit that they failed miserably in doing the cultural and ideological revolution that would have substitute one rotten and corrupt revisionist bureacracy with a fresh and competent class rooted in the soil of the people. Stalin failed in this regard because he didn't trust enough the peasantry(as Mao sayed).
You dishonestly criticize China, Vietnam and Cuba because of their corruption, bureaucracy etc... things that existed also in the USSR (but somehow the exuses of "exernal threats" or "material conditions"here doesn't matter).

It is like ,according to politsturm, in order to be a real communist state you have to be Russia, you need a dogmatic implementation of M-L and you need to be stuck in the 20th century.

Simple, if it didn't work, it isn't true socialism. Where has it worked? Well, nowhere, yet. It never will as long as a human being is going to be in power. There will always be corruption, there will always be slackers, because they'll know they're getting the same benefits whether they work or not.

That's the power of capitalism. If someone works hard, they can (not will) succeed. In socialism, unless you're a boss, you'll NEVER succeed. Hard work and innovation isn't rewarded. It isn't ALWAYS rewarded in capitalism, but it's NEVER rewarded in socialism.

And the people suffering have no say in who's running the scheme. It's not perfect in a democratic capitalistic country, but the will of the people has some inhibiting effect on the excesses of the rulers. It doesn't in socialism, until...the dictator is overthrown in a violent, bloody revolution or a total collapse of the government. No peaceful transition is possible.

Now start calling me names, tankies.

Bad take! Tukhachevsky was a socialist hero, and his military doctrine finally saved USSR against the Wermacht! Stop idolising Stalin, he was great at some things and extremely impotent in most of the others! He literally stopped Italy and Greece from turing into a communist nation, and would have almost wrecked Yugoslavia!

I want to know why so many socialists I meet today are so against civilian firearm ownership when Marx said.

Under no pretext should arms and ammunition be surrendered; any attempt to disarm the workers must be frustrated, by force if necessary.

Can anyone tell me why the change in view and what was civilian firearm ownership like in socialist countries like the USSR.

A communist revolution is impossible at this time, bro. Return to reality. Make proper use of opportunities and you will be paid with a good salary, good enough to provide a good life to your kids. And if you waste opportunities, then you will be left with regret and you will be responsible for it. Some workers are paid too much, so rewards are great if you graduate and PG from a good college and university. And even student loans are available now. Elites are intelligent, they have done all they could to preserve the system and they were forced to give massive rewards to a part of workers because of the fear of a revolution. Now you could make money from social media, there are other ways to gain money, so chances of a revolution happening are close to impossible. Because now you have the internet, you can learn a lot of things for free. Not just science and stuff but music production, video editing, VFX, animation. There are just a lot of things you could learn online. My ideals meet with that of communism/socialism and i have always been attracted to these ideologies. I read a few pages of manifesto and realised that we are slaves, even now, but the elites have done whatever they could to preserve the system. And a revolution seems to be impossible right now. Rather educate yourself about how the market works and start investing in shares. We are slaves even now, just that we don't realise it, we are too distracted by social media, tv shows and other things to even realise that we are slaves. And you just need a little common sense to realise that you are a slave of this system. But, still, rewards are great for workers, bro. You will have to deal with a lot of stress and get burnt out, depressed but in the end rewards are great. And that reduces the chances of revolution by a lot. Because there are many people who think like me. Also, i am afraid by just hearing the words "socialism", because of history. Idk if they are western lies but it seems that people supported communists to improve working conditions but their freedom was stolen. The iron curtain. And working conditions worsened. Like during the chineese, the "Great loop forward". It failed, man. I, and many are scared of a revolution because of these rumours and myths. When in fact, my inspirations are socialist/ communist leaders and revolutionaries. Not just that, but i belong to a middle class family, i am a worker, i get burnt out too, but we are the class of land owners, so we basically have deals with farmers and we get a fixed amount at the end of the year, doesn't matter how much output it is, we get a fixed amount of money. In India when the Maoist movement began, they had ki|!ed land owners, that's what I am afraid of the most. Even if i have communist ideal, i am scared for my life and many people are. My private property and my land will be stolen, and above all, my freedom and life will be taken away from me. India is the country with the most probability of a communist revolution, in kerela CPI-M is in power, CPI (Maoist) is banned. And there are many reasons for me and other people to oppose them, and the biggest reason is being afraid of our freedom and property being stolen from us and our life being threatened. I have books about Marxism at home, and i plan to read them in the future. But nevertheless, whatever my ideals, i am scared for my life and i will oppose a revolution. I come from very poor ancestors who worked very hard and made proper use of opportunities to provide me with this life and we transitioned from the poor and middle class. Others who wasted opportunities were left behind. It's not my problem. I know what struggles we have went through and my ancestors, my parents and we are/were good and simple people. I am not going to let my generation end here. I feel sad because there are upper middle class kids who went to much better schools that i did and are living the life that i always dreamt of living, but, still, communism is not the solution to it. Communists will stab us in the back and worsen our working conditions and we, workers will get even more burnt out and depressed. If you read this comment until here and have good points to counter my argument, do it. There are a lot of people like me, a lot, who oppose communists because of this. In fact my world view keeps developing and i have been attracted to radical left ideologies like syndicalism, anarchism, socialism and communism. But i am scared for my life bro that's all that matters in the end. But i have noticed that class hatred exists, and sub- class hatred in the middle class exists a lot, it happens a lot. My lower middle class friends are jealous of me and i am jealous of my upper middle class friends. So there is a lot of inequality and class hatred. (I am not dividing classes on the basis of ownership of means of production, just on the income basis, poor, lower middle, middle, upper middle, rich. But, yeah, a person's character is defined more by one's social class than one's race, nationality, religion. Like my upper middle class friends are just on another level bro, i am jealous and feel sad that my fate was decided the day i was born in a backward caste family. I oppose the caste system. The middle class will always be in opposition of a communist revolution because many are land owners and are part of the rat race. They don't want their freedom and property to be taken away. My parents pay a lot of money for our education, work 8 hours, sometimes even more, we don't travel too because we don't have time and money for it, just in case of work, my father is forced to go .

"Capitalism, the exploitation of the majority by the minority".

"Socialism, the oppression of minorities by the majority".

So, the majority will just replace the minority but classes still exist in socialism? When the goal of communism is to create a classless society?

But when capitalists will lose power they will become workers too. They won't be the same minority? The whole concept of majority and minority shall end as soon as the communists gain power. But what if the capitalists fled to other country? Their money will still get them political power and they will try to destroy the socialist state and support counter revolutionaries.
