As a kid I didn’t realize this was a school shooting psa, because my school never taught us or had drills just the “hide in the corner of a dark room and you’ll be fine”. It came on the tv for the first time in years of my life during freshman yr of high school and without remembering the commercial I understood it right away. I still think back to that because it shows how badly the American schools protect children. Even the private schools

Seeing this was just kinda sad with some of them, specifically the boy with the headphones because he didn’t even know what was going on, and we probably don’t know what happened to him either, the girl with the phone on the other hand knew it was coming and texted her mom one last time which is very heart breaking, anyways I hope this doesn’t happen at my school

When I was 8, I had gone to a football game with two of my older sisters and my parents. All of a sudden, everyone came running down the stairs screaming someone was shooting up the stadium. My dad picked me up and basically threw me down the stairs of the bleachers and told me to run while he went to go look for my sister who was at the food stands. People were screaming stuff like "My mom got shot!" and "The shooters are in the end zone!"... I remember hiding in a closet with my parents and siblings whispering over and over "I don't want to die, I don't want to die, I don't want to die." no shots were fired, and nobody got hurt, nor was anyone arrested. It took a while for us to get comfortable to go back to school.
