At the beginning of the year the release date was for fall 2023 but now it's been pushed back twice.... I don't think there is an anime for solo leveling or at the very least it's now getting started.

Main point Solo Leveling is a good Manhwa but overrated feel same with novel The Eminence in Shadow, I'm big fan Japanese novel buying my volume in Amazon kindle but few weeks ago started reading Lord of the mysteries CN novel holy cow right now top 3 favorite novels.

SL is a entertaining story, but it's nowhere near good as this. It barely has plot, characters are not given enough time and most are basically cardboar cutouts, and powercreep at the end makes anyone else besides protagonist useless. Even fans will admit that it has many flaws, so overselling it like this feels cheap. I'm still looking forward to the anime and what changes they'll make.

I think the anime category you where looking for is called "low fantasy".
It's basicly like isekai without the reincarnation part,
mostly with a young protagonist and videogame aspects fusing into the real world, because of some weird thing happening.

I like how there is a real reason he is slowly getting stronger so he can eventually have ashborne inhabit him. And after that he doesnt rely on the system anymore because he doesn't need to get any stronger. I'm hoping that the first season finishes when sung jinwoo gets his powers

I always appreciate your vids man, but for this one ill have to disagree. Ill start with the fact that i loved solo leveling, but i dont think they did well with their power scaling. Tbh since solo leveling everyone has been making their own solo leveling with the same kind of power scaling. Which is just people are giving a level of power from F-SS and thats it, they are stuck and will never get stronger. The only exception is the MC and his allies who get a “grade change” which is supposed to never happen. Because of this power scaling being so stagnant for our MC’s enemies it cant last as a manga. Once our MC gets above SS by chapter 70 hes better than every human in the world and now his only enemy are monsters which arent as fun to watch as watching the cunning humans use to try to beat the MC like politics, betrayal, or just solid planning is always exciting to watch. Solo leveling had one of the most abrupt endings ever which tbh i really disliked (spoilers) as all the short comings that happened like characters dying and mistakes our MC made became nothing as he just went back in time and fixed everything and killed everyone before it could all happen. In the entirety of the manga our MC never struggled against an enemy once given his power, he even easily beat the monster that gave him his power and also beat the “end boss” without problems. The anime was great and what kept me was the art but i really had to say that the power in this world and now many more because of it is not well thought out imo as more will continue to do the same.

I really hope in the long term the anime will fix the biggest issue I have with the novel/comics storyline: the progression towards the end. It felt too rushed imo, and reading the whole thing in one sitting, it just felt like missed opportunities to watch all those S ranks, Nation Ranks hunters being overwhelmed too quickly by the series final antagonists. (We only get to meet one Nation Hunters of the five that are introduced to the story)
There could have been so much more room for politics / maybe a temporary stop in the hero's power scaling, to give the ending meaning and time for the world to adapt, rather than "everything is lost, MC is our only hope".
I liked the series as a whole, but the end was not the way I expected it to go, and I really think there is room for improvement if they get to stray away from the original storyline in future seasons.

It still ticks me that people take the power scaling as the main reason why the series is so great, but in my opinion, it's not that great due to the final arc coming so suddenly, without the time for everything we learned from previous arcs to settle correctly.

chinese novels are mostly generic face slapping young masters jade like beauties and blatent ethnonationalism
while korean are litearly just worse SL world or tower with 95% of the mc being a necromancer and the plot point of a traitor going to japan

there are fun stories like the legendary mechanic, Overgeared or 48h a day for system stuff and good stories like ORV, reverand insanity or lord of mysteries (not that i only read/ liked those just the ones i remembered)

I saw the title and nearly yelled.

I'm hoping that they're going to flesh out the side characters, like a day in the life of Yoo Jin-Ho, leading up to his fateful meeting with Sung Jin-Woo, or the relationship between Sung Jin-Ah and Han Song-Yi before and after the Red Gate Incident. It looks like they'll be focusing on Cha Hae-In becoming a hunter, perhaps as a juxtaposition of Jin-Woo's slower rise up the ranks - I'd like her to talk about the ankle injury that ended her track and field career in middle school (an event that's only ever revealed in the after-ward of the LN). By following Hae-In, we can get introduced to people like Baek Yoon-Ho and Choi Jong-In, and even get to know Son Ki-Hoon before the Hunter's Guild Gate arc.

Dark souls references are 10/10😂
