Another thing that I just figured out was a problem for me, was that I just needed to delete the audio tracks that weren't working, and add new ones. Fixed the problem for me.

My default input, output, and map output all said "(not working)", and what I found that fixed the issue was changing the default input to "no input."

Thank you!! Short and to the point. For me, the Edit > Preferences > Audio Hardware menu did the trick. Somehow, my headphones were not being selected automatically, it was driving me insane!
