I think he has several ending ideas, and the show ending was just one of those ideas.
ОтветитьI hope that the last book comes out when I finish reading the last book😩
ОтветитьThe end is renaissance
ОтветитьThey wont
ОтветитьYes, he did say they would be basically the same. However, he was very clear that there may be debates as to "whose ending was better." Implying he has a different outcome in mind. Which makes sense considering Dan and Dave decided to make Arya the one who kills the NK as a late decision only two years before they shot the final season.
ОтветитьI think some of the scaffolding that was inherent in season 8 wouldn’t be bad in the book(s). Things like Daenerys’ dissent into madness, and Bran’s eventual succession would be totally fitting IF they were delivered better than in the show.
ОтветитьI think George wants to tell too many different stories and has written himself into chaos. He needs to finish and polish the major plot lines and pull a "Fire and Blood" for all the other stuff surrounding it. The details of the Martells, Dorne, the Boltons, Asha, Manderly, Sir Davos, etc, can all be fleshed out afterward, but they should show up only where they intersect with the main plot line.
ОтветитьHere is what happened, he got lazy and they caught up then he told them the rest of the arc and kept on writing, they kept on shooting. People hated it it. He either did one of two things. 1- he finished snd the books are locked up somewhere and would be released once he is dead and they are really similar to the show and he is waiting cause he doesn’t want the angry mob.
2- he threw away his progress and started over to distance it from the show but he is stuck cause he is rebuilding an arc he was thinking about for years and it’s really hard to do it in that age.
But no way he is still working on one book for 12 years. He didn’t finish the 5 books in 60 years.
He can rest easy knowing no one will be defending Dan & Dave's ending as superior to his
ОтветитьDany 😢
ОтветитьPls, I hope he gives Daeni and Jon (Aegon) a better ending😭
ОтветитьAsk Brandon Sanderson how it will end. He'll be finishing it
ОтветитьSecondary characters = jamie fcukin lannister
D AND D did Jamie's arc dirty
It’s 2022 and we still don’t know how it ends
ОтветитьOkay so I’m pretty sure the series is complete he is just stalling to release until he dies so he doesn’t have to listen to critiques trashing his work because it took so long and wasn’t exactly how they wanted it. If he never releases it he knows how it ends.
D&D should have stopped at season 6 finale when the source material ran out. Ruining the show probably ruined the chance of us seeing the end of the novels since they ruined it.
so dany will die anyway.... jesus
ОтветитьI read the script of the last episode of the series The Iron Throne, and it wasn't even written well.
ОтветитьAfter watching season 8, it seems like David and Dan were just a little too committed to the idea that the show should end after 7 (or 8) seasons, and ended up not giving themselves enough time to let the story reach its natural conclusion. I didn’t even necessarily have a problem with the way things turned out for most of the characters. But the way we reach those story arch conclusions ends up just not making sense, presumably because the characters we know haven’t had time to develop into the personalities they were intended to become by the end of the series. Up until the last 3 seasons or so, the show follows the books extremely faithfully. Basically scene for scene most of the time. Often word for word. Then all of a sudden the show catches up to the books, and the pace the story is being told at starts accelerating. Faster and faster the closer you get to the until, until all of a sudden the characters are just changing their whole personalities on a dime within a single scene. No foreshadowing, no natural progression into the personality they end up with… Example: I could see Jamie Lannister developing back into the evil character he once was early in the series. Could totally believe and accept that if it were to play out over the course of a few seasons. But it doesn’t. He goes back to Cersei as the good guy, comes to Winterfell to fight the white walkers as a good guy, acts and behaves like a good guy… then all of a sudden changes his mind and goes back to the character we knew in season 1 within the course of one scene, with zero prior indication to even make you suspect that he might. That’s either lazy writing, or it’s rushed writing by someone who is trying to squeeze an entire book’s worth of material into a 6 episode season, and coming up short.
ОтветитьThe answer is of course: "they won't".
ОтветитьWon’t matter who’s ending is “better” George’s is the true ending.
ОтветитьThe ending wasn't the problem, Dany dying is predictable from day one. The tragedy was how they rushed and absolutely butchered the character developments.
ОтветитьGRRM has squandered his story for TV shows and prequels. He can make excuses in his mind but the truth is he will never finish AAOIAF
ОтветитьThey wont.
ОтветитьSometimes I feel like Dan and Dave did what George told them was going to happen and when everybody hated it George scrapped his whole book of what he was writing and started again and that’s why it’s taking so long for WINDS
Ответить97% faithful? Wtf
ОтветитьNever
Ответитьya know ur allowed to drink water bud....
btw finish your god damn books. i get it u have millions of dollars now and numerous other projects... but at this rate i see brandon sanderson finishing your books.
I think the worst thing that could happen to a work of art is for it to not be completed.
ОтветитьMy only criticism of the series in terms of plot is that it was obviously rushed. Which meant it didn’t make sense. Hopefully, George’s books will explain it better so that it makes sense. I think the deaths will be somewhat different. Such as Cerceis and Jamie’s.
ОтветитьFor all the questions yet to be answered, the one thing I am certain absolutely No One will say is "I think dan and dave wrote a better ending" lol!
ОтветитьSo bran will end up on the throne in the books as well
ОтветитьI am worried about when will we get the books.
ОтветитьHorrible ending ! Just horrible , depressing and a shame to the entire built up 🤦🏼♀️
ОтветитьNO GRRM will be better
ОтветитьNow I only hope the ending is different
ОтветитьNice
Ответитьthis is comforting.
ОтветитьUNFINISHED
ОтветитьI still say it ends with the true Villan… THE WRETCHED STARBUCKS CUP OWNER!😂
ОтветитьDid we all forget that Tyrion drank… and didn’t know a thing
ОтветитьI think it will end with the true villain!!! THE OWNER OF THE STARBUCKS CUP😂😂🤣
ОтветитьIf you read Forest Gump, you can see that the HBO series can be finished as GRRM? wants. I hope he finishes, it is always fun to see what people do, when they have a chance to have power over others.
ОтветитьSpoiler alert, they won't.
ОтветитьPlease let the tyrells live and be the rulers of highgarden and lords of the reach, i love them and the show didn’t do justice to them at all🥺
ОтветитьI don't think d&d's ending is gonna be that different from my ending
What ending?
To be fair to George, the adaptations of AFFC and ADWD were rushed. Entire areas like Dorne and the Iron Islands were neglected. They should have had a year’s break after season 4 and then done one big season 5 covering both books 4 and 5 and taking up 16 episodes. Cut out a lot of the fat but keep the broad storylines intact! No sending Sansa to the North to be beaten and raped by Ramsey, spend time setting up the Vale instead. No having Jaime go to Dorne to fight with his left hand, let Arianne Martell exist and let Doran Martell actually be a cautious, shrewd man with a long-term plan. Asha/Yara Greyjoy’s story could have been told in some way too, especially if you cut out the filler mission she had in season 4 which was really mainly about Theon/Reek’s story.
ОтветитьHe is a legend....
