Hi there! I love your videos! Was just wondering why there is no mention of electrolysis for hair removal, especially as an alternative to lasers in people with more pigmented skin.
As a person with sensitive skin, I couldn't tolerate shaving, waxing, or depilatory creams. But electrolysis provided a long term solution, virtually eliminating the need to shave my underarms and pubic areas. I got treatment in my mid 20's, and in 25 years, I've barely needed to lift a razor. Gone are the days of itchy pustules, let alone the time savings in my daily routine.

Laser is faster, but my sensitive skin seemed to get deeper burns from it.

I wish DR SIMI would have discussed WHICH DIRECTION to pull hair out because if I would have known (20 years ago) that you’re suppose to pluck WITH the direction of hair growth rather than AGAINST, I’d still have eyebrows. As for my bikini, I had it waxed for years and moslty no problem except excruciating pain. Couple years ago I switched to “sugaring” - the difference: it does not harden and pull the top layer of skin along with it (as much as waxing) and most importantly, they apply the sugaring substance (like a soft wax) against the hair growth and pull WITH the hair growth!! This is opposite of waxing and it does not damage the opening to the hair follicle (as much as waxing) therefore less pain! I’d like to hear other people’s experiences with waxing and sugaring if you care to share 🙂

I wanted to ask about cream that removes hair ,are they better for the hair in general I comparison than razor? Does the hair grow slightly softer or the same?

So what about using an electric hair trimmer instead?

I've spent my 3yrs of teenage life feeling disgusting about those bumps 😅

I shaved my legs 3 months ago and I don't plan to shave my legs again anytime soon but and I still have a lot of ingrown hair, I don't think I have any irritation or itchiness, how do I get rid of it? it hasn't gone away on its own.

Wow, I'm a man and this is by far the BEST explanation of ingrown hair that I've ever heard! None of my previous dermatologists have ever explained it so clearly before. I now know what I have to do to reduce ingrown hair on my face and neck areas. Thanks Dr. Simi!

Well I guess I'm going back to Nair hair removal cream lol. It gives me the least redness out of waxing/shaving. But it still gives me redness I'm insecure about. I have pale skin and I'm sensitive to alot of products so I feel like nothing will ever work. Wearing a bathing suit is just humiliating for me 😢

I do shave my chin. But at 55 I'm Fed up with it now. I would like to know as a woman of color, would Lazer be good for my light brown skin? I shave at least once a week & some times twice a week if I have to go out 🤷🤦🏽

I get irritation on my skin after wax especially in bikini area how can I avoid that coz I wanna only wax my hair on that particular area and nothing else
