I miss the days where someone would lay a huge clean hit on the ice and everyone would just continue playing but of cours lay the offender out later as revenge but now instead we have far too many cases of overly butthurt payers throwing hands immediately, stopping play entirely.

As awesome as they are. I really don’t think suicide passes should be legal. As the opposing player you shouldn’t begin skating into the hit until after they receive the puck and realize you are there.

As a former defenseman my favorite hit was the last one in this video. Notice the 'backchecking' that the forwards are doing, notice how the defenseman has to choose between two guys barreling down the ice toward him. Notice how he picks the right one and stops their play with a good, clean, athletic move. One guy got the piss knocked out of him and nobody went to the sin bin. That's good, clean hockey! My Coach would have bought me a pizza for that one.
