Lost my dad on 6/2/23 due this poison. They guy that sold it to him died a couple weeks ago, probably from an overdose as well...not sure though, I didn't know him.

What I did learn of him was that he was dealing, a violent felon and that the police were investigating him due to my father's death.

My 14 year old nephew broke is arm he went to the hospital they prescribed him oxycodone my sister was furious and took the pills to the hospital and asked how could you prescribe something so strong to a child their answer was she could've discarded them and did not have to bring the pills back to hospital.think about that!!! Why are they America and only certain drugs

When drugs have absolutely no regulation because they are illegal and forced underground, this is the tragic result. Because there is such a stigma that was generated from a time period long before us, we have been taught to fear them and the many that use them. I started with being prescribed Oxycontin and was too afraid to tell anyone I was using too much. So then I started using heroin and was even more afraid to tell anyone and my fears became reality when people found out. They were all taught to keep their distance and started treating me differently. I was forced into isolation. Up until this point, I didn't need to be high every day but once I knew I was labeled an addict and a junkie, my self esteem became non-existent. The programs I was in only reenforced this new me. I was put in a program where only a tiny percentage actually achieved success so I began to just accept my fate. Then through the years of accessing opiates, fentanyl creeped in and eventually took over. I became hooked on a drug in which I didn't even enjoy as it's more of a tranquilizer than an opiate. But fortunately, one day I was treated like a normal person because the state had no other options in where to place my child. And all they did was ask if I could stop and then I would have him back. I didn't hesitate and I'm now clean almost two years. I went through the cycle of our failed system over and over again. It wasn't until I was treated like a human being that I became myself again. How we view drugs and people that use them has to change. It's not the drugs or the people that use them. Let's stop the insanity of trying all the same things over and over again. People are out there suffering because of it. People are dying. We are just like everyone else. We just want to be treated the same. Don't push us away. Bring us closer.
