Why always Singapore?

Apparently you can do it in about 4 days, unless bungee jumping is off limits in Singapore, in which case, you’ll wind up stranded with your hand in a puddle before desperately trying to search for non-existent local booze and losing everything on a roulette wheel. I’ll bet Sam’s still not bitter at all 😂😂😂

To anyone wondering why the Concorde Singapore south was cancelled, it didn’t happen until 1979 due to the 73 Oil Crisis and was cancelled within two years due to the Iran Iraq War.

This aged amazingly

OMG i found 46 hours!!! The journey starts at london Heathrow by taking the flight emirates EK6 to Dubai at 22h15. You arrive at 8h at dubai. Then you take the flight Emirates EK352 to Singapore at 9h40. You arrive at 21h15. You can then board the 18h long flight to New York (ewr) at 23h35 being SQ22. you arrive at 6h and you finish your journey back to Heathrow with the flight UA934 at 8h45 arriving at 20h40. You exactly achieve the distance of 37750 km and it takes exactly 46h and 25 minutes.


Edit: you can make this even shorter by starting in Newark as it is the longest transit but I'm European 😁

Has anyone checked how much that 50 hour flight would cost? I know the price changes over time but ballpark figure? $/£/€?

If we take the strategy to take the least possible flights we could get like new-york - dubai - Auckland - New York with just 3 flights and it would be under 50 hours I'd say

Suppose you start exactly where he started on my birthday get on the London heathrow flight to Dubai leaving at 10:00 pm you arrive the next day at 8:45 am then get on the 10:50 am emirates flight from Dubai to Brisbane you arrive the next day at 7:00 am then go on the Qantas flight at 9:05 am to Auckland arriving at 3:20 pm then go on the Air New Zealand flight at 7:45 pm from Auckland to jfk arriving at 5:30 pm then go on the virgin Atlantic flight at 6:30 pm from jfk to heathrow arriving at 6:30 am and circumnavigating the world

SURELY it should be the length of the equator

Currently SIN-JFK runs east to avoid Russia (Look at flightaware as of August 2022)

So taking SQ25 from JFK-FRA-SIN then SQ24 from SIN-JFK puts you around the globe in 45 hours 35 min.

EDIT: Start in Singapore and you break the record at 43 hours flat
