Google Pixel 3 / 3XL: How to Insert/Eject Sim Card Properly

i know this is 4 years old but does the sim card control wifi mine wont connect i can turn my wifi on get out go back and it shows off

My pixel 3XL doesn't look like that. On the bottom are two speakers. Top has a tiny hole but no tray. It looks like the tray is on the left side still for mine.

Does this work for Google pixel 4a?
