Have had this light come on , went to a garage and they resetted the system, came back on after few days . Light is not flashing . It's coming up to 4 years car from New in 2024. Only done about 21,000 miles. It's not under warranty anymore. I am in the UK and have a Audi A1 35tfsi automatic.

I got a 2008 toyota tundra 4.7. Code p2436/p2438. Secondary air injector system. Bank 2 .. I don't know which part causing it.. any help

Could be anything from a cam sensor to coil pack just put a reader on it. All you need to know is do your flower check. Fuel. Lights Oil Water Electrics Rubber. Intials. Flower checks. Egr valve is just an exhaust gas realese value it's easy to replace

While this is a nice automobile engineering class, it does not help a layman/DIYer. At the end of it all you say, 'go to the mechanic' and then what? Be under his mercy? I wish you had shown how to use an OBD tool to diagnose yourself so that you know the mechanic is not BS'ing you when you go to them.

i've been ignoring this p.o.s. light for decade now

as long as the cooling system works

as long as the oil is clean and at the correct level and do oil changes every year

as long as there is no head gasket leaks

as long as there is no engine knocks

as long as there is no exhaust leaks in the muffler system, pipes, and catalytic converter

as long as there are no damaged or corroded electrical wires and spark plugs in the ignition system


these modern cars are sissies that throws tantrums at every little thing !!!


could be the oxygen and air sensors ... lol....i'll get around to it in the next century

Why pay a mechanic hundreds of $$$$, when you can go to auto zone. Their scan tool will tell you EXACTLY which part to replace for FREE. GUARANTEED!!!

easy fix? i have watched them practically all. from unplugging the car's battery? to well, pretty much everything under the sun! one thing i found out is that this freaking so called warning light? is like everything else in a car . (warranty or not!) is to milk you dry for fixes? that many times are not really necessary ! here in California one major obstacle is passing the Smog check U don't pass? you don't get to re-register your vehicle every two years! that means bringing in your car for diagnostics and if you are no longer covered by a guaranty which most of Us are that drive older Models? good luck with that, even if said vehicle continues to run like a champ! you bring the vehicle to a reputable repair shop! they fix the problem that in the process sometimes amounts to a whole lot of Money! only for the problem to comeback the next year! while the car continues to run as i said like a champ! regular maintenance /Oil changes/ new brakes Etc. but you can't Again ! re-register , here is my point if you happen to own a reliable yet older model car Van or truck? that you know for a fact! hasn't left you stranded on the road for a long time! Ignore the freaking Engine Light on ? crap! just keep it happy by doing its regular oil and brake changes as all fluids /tires and keep driving it for the point of any vehicle when you buy one is to know it's reliable and gets you from point A to point B ! you have one like that? you are well off and no need for a New One! unless you want to keep up with the Joneses.

My check engine light has been on for six years with no problems

i have replaced from #1-#10 and my check engine still "ON" said "Catalytic" is bad. i have replaced OEM Catalytic couple years ago and still said bad Catalytic?? WHY???
