What if I wanna become both?🙂
ОтветитьThank you for this video! I was indecisive for a long time, but after your comparison I feel that data science may be a better fit.
ОтветитьData scientist ❤
ОтветитьVery clearly explained and very useful for me as a new grad. Thank you!
Ответитьfrom last two monts, i am soo confused between data science and software development. This comparsion gave me some solid insights.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing, very helpful... 😊,
ОтветитьData Scientist. The discovery mindset. :-)
ОтветитьThnx for this informative video😊
ОтветитьVery detailed comparison. Your analogies make it really easy to understand the similariities and difference between the two fields, and your experience helps a lot in helping people choose their path.
ОтветитьWhich career path is best for business Mind persons?
ОтветитьBest comparison ever!
Ответитьthank you so much for this video, this has answered certain questions. i appreciate this.
ОтветитьPerfect sorting of distinct nature of both fields, kinda feeling absolute clarity about my career choice I'm going to make!
ОтветитьWhat an excellent comparison!! Not only telling about the two fields but also the important aspect of one's own inclination and in the end how to find where one is inclined. Beautiful!!!
ОтветитьCan a software engineer be a data scientist?
ОтветитьSo as someone who eventually one day wants to work in data science is there an entry level job role that one can apply as a starting point and just get promoted/ level up to a data science in time rather than just trying to apply for a data science position from the get go? I dont mind starting at the bottom and working my way up the ladder.
ОтветитьI feel as though becoming a self-taught software engineering is absolutely possible.
I don't, however, feel the same about data science. It seems as though a college background is like absolutely necessary to gain employment as a data scientist.
Is this incorrect to say/believe?
Let’s be honest, DS are more and more being required to be software engineers. Companies want DS to be an all source tech guru
ОтветитьI am definitely attracted more data science, but I don’t have a masters degree or a PhD and I noticed most Jobs require you to have one or the other or both. It’s unfortunate, because a lot of the data scientists that I have spoken to say that it’s completely pointless because people who come in with either masters degrees or PhD’s, don’t understand data science and it’s something that you don’t need an advanced degree to be able to learn and apply. Software engineering, on the other hand, it’s something that you can do with any kind of college degree under your belt. That’s just too bad
ОтветитьI still can't choose between them🥺
ОтветитьI recently graduated with a bachelor's in math, and am looking into either software engineering or data science/analytics as a potential career. I'm going to be taking some courses+certification programs at the local community college in Python development (I love Java, but Python seems like it would be more applicable for my current goals) and in SQL to better equip myself for entry-level work in these fields. Thanks for this informative video -- I definitely have a lot to think about! :)
ОтветитьNice video! I am becoming more of a fan of your work; just hit that subscribe button!
ОтветитьGreat video thank you
ОтветитьWould I benefit from learning data science as a software engineer? If I want to continue with my soft engineer career
ОтветитьThis is really insightful breakdown.
Ответитьhow good do you need to be at math to be a data scientist because you usually have libraries that help you with the math
ОтветитьOmg she killed this presentation. 🔥
ОтветитьHonestly one of the best explanations I've seen, for anyone requiring some guidance in choosing among the fields
ОтветитьAre you single?
ОтветитьHi there, a lot of people are saying that software engineering is nowhere near what it used to be. That the “action” has now shifted to data and AI and bitcoin. Is that true. Thanks.
ОтветитьHello Tina thank you very much for this video, finally I choosed software engineering because I see coding as a craft, that I wanted to improve.
But I'm interesting in machine learning, may be i'll see if I want to choose this career path
i love stalking, collecting, posting, uploading, saving all the things into gallery, social media, statistic from my daily activity, so i choose data science. i think i should buy larger memory sd card to save anything, LOL!
ОтветитьThe first two considerations make me a software engineer but the last one keeps me confused. I enjoy the merger of different fields! But I surely love building stuff and love coding. Especially when just few keyboard strokes enable me to build so many new things, that excites me a lot.
ОтветитьNo more videos on every Friday?
ОтветитьEnlightening
ОтветитьWhat degree should do to be a better DS ? Computer Science or Statistic ?
ОтветитьBest comparison I’ve seen between the 2. I’m in college and now and stuck between software engineering and data science.
Ответитьafter spending 2 year of non stop coding finally decided to go with data science
😄😄😄 and happy
For those who like to build solution straight after exploring the problems, got to knowing both, they're so called Data Engineering, DataOps, MLOps.. Somehow they form into a data product lifecycle.
ОтветитьI've spent the last six years of my career writing code to solve problems, but I'm not what you'd call a software engineer. I enjoy writing code as long as the problem gets solved. Thus, it's really hard for me to choose between software engineering and ML engineering. I'm very open to both routes.
ОтветитьHi tina!
:D
Great video. I would love see your point of view about the data engineer field.
ОтветитьGreat video. Solid information.
ОтветитьWhat the, just in time! Currently taking masters in SE while taking DS path online during weekends.
ОтветитьTalk about the future of those 2 jobs....
ОтветитьShe looks cute and yes im paying attention.
ОтветитьGreat Video with insightful contents! Which one do you think is harder for people from other fields?
ОтветитьI needed this video for a long time
thank you so much
