Thank you for this. At the gym the other day, I could overhear a couple of guys talking [mess] because my form was bad. Basically, although I was lifting moderately heavy dumbbells, I wasn't working the full range on the bicep because I was going one arm at a time, pulling the weight up to my shoulder, which basically gave me breaks both at the top, and ay thr bottom of each movement.

Your simple explanation of proper form helped me do a far more efficient workout. Thank you!

The problem with these videos is lack of transparency when it comes to showing and explaining what is actually happening to the muscles and which muscle is primarily being worked. That’s why people fail in work outs they just figure there gonna look up how to work arms and pick a few diff types of workouts and call it good.. the biggest thing in bodybuilding if that’s what your aiming for if not then it is less important of what you are actually aiming to hit and mind and muscle connection doesn’t have to really be there. at that point your just pushing weight to be a power lifter.. but these so called influencers need to describe what body part there gonna work out and why they’re doin these specific workouts and then explain why muscle and mind connection is very important.. Also how to properly be aligned bcuz even though your doing a standup curl and it hits more of the long head of bicep you might not see results or even feel the pump.. I’ve trained guys that don’t know what all that is so it’s hard to get an honest or accurate answer.. they might feel there arm very heavy and about to explode but if there not feeling it in that specific muscle more then the alignment in there flexors are off and now I’d have to find a better position for that person so they can really feel that long head work.. before I got my education on human anatomy to become a PT, for example I was just lifting with no help or no awareness and bcuz of that my left bicep suffered for it and it took me a bit to get it close to my right bicep but you’ll always have one body part stronger and look better then the opposite one that’s just how it is unfortunately..

I literally always see men lifting the dumbbells with their entire body haha, and yet they somehow look 10 times more muscular than the average man
