Where I am from in Arkansas, we're starting to see the men (groom or dad-to-be) attend the showers. While that's great and all, I like just the women only for baby showers, as seeing the new mom with the veteran moms and such is a delight. Sometimes the women are more reserved when men are around (what not to talk about in mixed company). Beautiful shower Corie!

That was excellent! Loved the color theme - very classy! Your Mom and mother-in-law and their helpers outdid themselves. So glad Granny, Katie, and Ira were able to attend. Love Granny’s smile - I just want to hug her so much! Austin was a big help, too! Lugging that rocker up those stairs couldn’t have been easy. I’m getting excited for you & Austin! Can’t wait for your little bundle of joy to arrive❣️

That’s how we’ve always done baby showers here in Michigan, ladies only. When I lived out East I was shocked when I went to a baby shower and men started showing up! lol! Your shower was beautiful and I loved the babies breathe flowers, that was a beautiful touch. 😊 God bless you all.

Absolutely lovely. It's also nice to know that in some places traditions are still the same. Up until my daughter and her generation men didn't come to baby showers. It should still be women supporting women on that day.

I’m not sure when tradition changed here. I had my babies in 1990 and 1995 and it seemed fairly common for men to be there. As long as you and Austin are happy, nothing else matters.

I thought both your names started with the same letter. Lol. You all go all out. My mom isn’t a party planner and it’s always just me throwing my daughter birthday parties. Now she’s a teenager she thinks she’s too old.

I understand the traditions but my sister in law came up with the best idea. While women have the baby shower the men have to load gifts and unload and then the guys have a get together (they do a keg but could be golf or something) and to participate each guest brings a pack of diapers.

Yes you can exchange unopened boxes of diapers or exchange for a different size.

Mom advice; I never had a boy but use puppy pads under baby for changing diapers. They absorb and disposables and if accidents happen you don’t have to wake up your partner because they peed on the bed.

Beautiful, but I hate that the fellows missed out. Once at work we gave a bridal shower to one of our male co-workers because we loved him and didn't want him to not have one. He got all kinds of tools and things for the yard.

Everything was beautiful, love your colors. In the old days, when I was starting my family, only women went to the showers. It was a special time of fellowship. Congrats to you.

It’s the way us women come together to shower the expectant mother with our love and share our experiences, strength and hope along the way.
I absolutely LOVED showers as a little girl!!! Pink punch, mints, nuts and cake 😂 but I loved the games the most and couldn’t wait till I got big and had my own family.

Got to take turns handing the expectant mother a present to open.
