Cause the inhabitants forced to live in your self made fiefdom would dare cry foul does not make them "mean." Worst bullies I've seen in post secondary education hide behind the lie "educator". You wield your state imposed power like a drunk communist, always shoring up your delicate self worth.
ОтветитьThis is why tenure sucks. They can just do whatever to us and laugh at our confusion and misery.
ОтветитьUndergrad students need to realize that professors are not teachers. They are not there to "teach" you. They are there to "guide" you through the course.
You do your own study and the professor discusses the theories and its applications during lectures. That's why we have reference books / textbooks.
Edit: the teaching part is usually done by Tutors / TA. That's why we have them.
Reminder: Harvard professors are not there to teach instead they are the to research.
ОтветитьA teacher is supposed to make it as easy as possible for students to learn hard things, people pay a lot of money for collage, the teachers work for the students not the other way around.
Students should be able to choose between different teachers just like you can choose a different doctor at the hospital.
"This class is shitty"
ok...
Most of These don't sound that insulting to be honest. More like people were genuinely disappointed and expected more from their courses.
ОтветитьI've read better burns from community college reviews. THIS is Harvard?
Ответитьthey dont spoonfeed you. its u who wants to learn. these professors are great people literally everyone of them has textbook that i followed
ОтветитьThere is a difference between going to Harvard for Law vice going there for "Classics in the Elizabethan era" studies
ОтветитьKowing your subject does not make you a good teacher. many of them need to do teacher training and the English woman spoke so falsely. What a pretend snob. Classsssssssssssssss. Come on. I an Englsh so I can say that.
ОтветитьNGL Econ will suck no matter where you take it. Class has so many new concepts and the questions are very "Gotcha" type questions.
ОтветитьThat's unacceptable to just leave ''This class is shitty'' as official feedback, you wouldn't be allowed to do that at a university in the UK.
Ответить"We always win"
Yeah, that's probably why they hate you
The student who commented on N Gregory Mankiew E10, I can't believe, because his books are interesting and I must say addictive.
ОтветитьHey, it’s the guy from Epstein’s island, Professor Pinker
ОтветитьWait, THE GREOGORY MANKIW? Wow!
ОтветитьTo the folks who lament Biology as a requirement.... You should just take Organic Chem instead. XD
ОтветитьThese are some very tame "mean" comments. The only one that came off as mean was the last one.
ОтветитьI know that there are gonna be students that complain about teachers at every uni, but as someone who went to a small uni in south Texas, I would LOVE the opportunity to sit through just one lecture at Harvard.
ОтветитьThis one seems to be more hating on the classes themselves and not the professors
ОтветитьOf course, I've never sat in a lecture hall with him so I don't know, but I have been fascinated by Steven Pinker for years. I just can't understand anybody who would fall asleep in his class. This kind of makes me really angry for some reason LOL
ОтветитьI dream of taking classes at harvard, and there are people who think they are shitty.
ОтветитьOh snap that guy wrote my ap Econ textbook he’s like reaally smart haha why are they hating on them
ОтветитьIt's not about teaching but how they set up the grading system and exams. They can be the best instructors at teaching but what's the point when the exams are weirdly set up?
ОтветитьMankie wrote my textbook
Ответитьwell, truth hurts
ОтветитьHarvard has allowed one Professor to conduct the same experiment on 100s of baby monkeys and their mothers for over 40 year! If you haven't learned anything by now? Stop!
ОтветитьIt is remarkable that these Harvard professors show no self reflection or any incentive to improve. Save your money, a Harvard education is not worth the exorbitant costs.
ОтветитьI'm reading Mankiw's textbook in econ rn. 🥶
Ответить"we always win"
Same energy as:
"I am inevitable"
"omg so THATS who wrote my econ book" stfu nerd
ОтветитьI hate the fact that while this is literally how it goes for any university, the name Harvard in the title got it more views than what it otherwise would've got.
ОтветитьProfessors at top schools are the worst teachers. They’re too grainy to communicate anything effectively
Ответитьahhh yes HAVAD the flag ship of the hammer and sickle league!!
ОтветитьImagine having reached adulthood, being admitted to one of the world's most prestigious universities, and somehow still be able to make such narrow minded comments. I don't even want to imagine how spoiled these students are in order for them to have the audacity to write such simple minded comments.
ОтветитьI would pay so much for that economics guy to just narrate something for me
ОтветитьFrankly, I side with the students.
ОтветитьLove Dr. Mankiw’s dramatic reading of the student’s complaint. Really capture’s the emotion evident in this kid’s epic battle with Economics 10. What is even more astounding is Ec 10 is a lower level, first year Econ course. This is likely an 18 / 19 year old. Imagine taking your first college Econ class, maybe for GE, and your teacher is the former Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors — literally the top economic advisor to the President of the United States — and you get to grade him and tell everyone his class “sucked”.
ОтветитьGOV20 GANG

ОтветитьWhat am i doing with my life
ОтветитьGregory my man, i have spent many many hours in my room crying with your book in front of me.
ОтветитьI’d be honored to attend any of these classes.
